Ginger's new solo album Market Harbour is out today. Heard a few tracks off it last night and it's pretty sweeeet from what I've heard. Go buy it!

I thought it was a shame to see this thread loitering invisible the background, especially since The Wildhearts are playing Download this year.

        So ... * bump *

Plus, there is actual Wildhearts news, with the special Earth Vs gig in September having just been announced. You could have included that, too.

Anyway, so far so good with being able to see them at Download, woo! Hopefully by some miracle I can get tickets for the SBE gig and come down for the weekend... I'd love to see the B-sides all get played.

It's all fun and games, until someone posts a picture of Nash.

            I have tickets!!!!!

There's also other news, the covers album came out on Monday. And very good it is too... but I am biased.

I didn't know. I do now. And Sam has bought tickets. Oh yes.
I think we started going to see them regularly about the time they were originally touring that album. Excellent stuff.

Yeah, I first saw them on the p.h.u.q. tour in '95. Seen them 25+ times since, but this gig's gonna be the first time I've heard a couple of the songs live. (News Of The World, Down On London)

I met Ginger as we were both shopping in the same store.

Cool dude and very down to earth - invited me to a gig I couldn't go too.

Is this the wrong place to mention how fucking good they were at Download this year, and they should be booked to play every year?

The Wildheart were a band I'd heard barely music from before Download.

They were great though, great songs, great fans and one of the best atmospheres watching them.

Just a shame I had to miss a few mins of their set retrieving my bag from where I'd left it on OOFA hill. [&o]

                          headline 2nd stage.....

surely! .. it was packed and I for one would rather they had a huge set time than a slot on the mainstage .
