Awesome band!!!!
First saw them supporting Mnemic, then saw them at Bloodstock and Hard Rock Hell, great band, great guys, waiting with baited breath to find out when they're next playing UK... that's a hint Renny, any clues yet? any inside info?

There will be a big blog and post on the official website soon which should outline a bit of what is happening with us in 2008 including touring, the ltd edition Empty Promises CD and album no.2!
 
Keep your eyes peeled! Cheers for all the support in 2007 - hope everyone had a great xmas!

I saw these guys when they supported stone sour and they were imense!
 
Had never heard of them before that but they pissed all over flyleaf that night.

Yeah that was awkward. Musically I would also say I prefer Coheed but i couldn't watch them last night after that. I was all psyched and ready to whoop some ass! I'm very proud of the Madina boys and I think they did the right thing. They told me on the Europe tour that they've had a lot of aggro in the past because they're all little dudes but they really stick up for themselves. For anyone that doesn't know the whole story -
Coheed and crew have been dicks to everyone else on the tour. It's no secret, not to me anyway. Madina usually fill up balloons with confetti and throw them up to the lights so they pop and the confetti goes everywhere. They were told they couldn't do that so they didn't but they intended to last night as it was the end of the tour. Madina seem to be a band constantly being told what they can't do, such as Nathan stage diving etc. One of their crew guys and longtime homies Dave "Sprockets" Casey was in the VIP bar blowing up the balloons, about ten of them. As soon as he left the room someone from Coheed's crew, maybe even the band, went and popped the all. Dave then tried to make up for it by throwing what was left of the confetti out into the crowd during Madina's set. The fight which then ensued was caused by an OTT reaction from a rather large Coheed crew member. He punched Dave (also a little dude and one of the coolest and nicest people i've met) in the face and had him in a headlock. This prompted Mateo, who saw everything, to charge at the big guy and the rest of the band followed. Security broke up the fight and Madina returned to the stage totally incensed. So for all the people booing and flipping the band off, bear that in mind. There's a post on the Madina forum from a girl who was with Dave blowing up the balloons:

"I was put on the guestlist for the show last night and was upstairs with Dave helping out with the auspices. Whilst doing this Coheed's tour manager came up to us and said something along the lines of "You know we're not gunna let you do this, i swear i'm gunna pop them all up, i told you before"
Dave and i were obviously shocked...
We carried on as he left and Dave left me to tie up the very last balloon when he needed to go to the soundcheck.
Ironically the security guard went downstairs for a drink so it was only me left in the room along with some other random people. The TM and the singer Claudio Sanchez charged in and burst all the auspices...I was absolutely terrified and at that time i still had one in my hand; Claudio f**k hit my hand and went "Give me that one!" and snatched it off me, it was pretty scary and i thought i was pretty brave telling them to "f**k off" as soon as they came in,; i swear if id said anything more then it wouldn't be just a hit but a beat!

So yeah, that was my story.
As to what happened on stage with the guys...

The Coheed guys started comming on to the side of the stage during HOC because they had just released the cofetti cannon, the tour manager punched Dave while he wasn't looking, that's when the fight started and that's why the guys went off stage for a split second to help out. You guys may have realized their set last night was shorter than the other dates because they went straight on from HOC to Pandora.
Towards the end the sounds ie. microphones and amps weren't working all except for Matthew's mic, bass and Dan's drums, so that is why Mateo got pissed off and started smashing his guitar and threw it into the crowd
Nathan started using Matthew's mic to finish off the last song MOTP, while the other guys gave up as their amps weren't working, and walked around on the stage."

ANYWAY!! FN album no.2 is written and almost ready to record. Obviously it's gonna be a while before we actually do as we need to find a new drummer, which is gonna happen by the end of this month. We plan to demo it ourselves as best we can, just becasue we can, for free. We're playing loads of new stuff live now so if you dying to hear it you'll have to come and see us!!
