ORIGINAL: HullHellHalifax Profane's unique brand of Progressive-Metal refuses to be pigeonholed by the music media; seamlessly blending intricate jazz melodies with ferocious, technical playing. Having already made clear their intentions with a stellar live performance on Radio One's Rock Show, Profane are here to turn the metal world on it's head. 2007 saw the band appearing in Metal Hammer's 'incoming' section, and Rocksounds 'Exposure', and ended on a high with features in Kerrang's 'Introducing' section, Big Cheese and Rocksound, and dates with Will Haven and Enter Shikari. The Band are currently writing the follow up to the Debut album which will continue to further explore the diversity and capabilities of this incredible band. To listen to the band in session at the BBC's legendary Maida Vale studios visit our Myspace: www.myspace.com/profane profane - The Day We Scorched The Sky BUY NOW (HMV) The band have been lucky enough to share stages with: Life of Agony, Gwar, Enter Shikari, Skindred, Will Haven, Million Dead, Winnebago Deal, Oceansize, Breed77, RagingSpeedhorn, Bring Me The Horizon, Amplifier, Biomechanical, Converge, 27, burst, fiveCRP , Shai Hulud, Send More Paramedics, Gay for Johnny Depp, Architects, Johnny Truant, Starkweather, Horse the Band and Caliban. man we want to get back to belfast as well - believe me! We have just moved into our new room and intend on finishing our second album over the next couple of months - then we will be hitting the road again massively! Thanks to everyone that has helped us to where we are now - We are immensly proud of what we have achieved with 'the day we scorched the sky' but there comes a time where you have to draw a line under it and get back into the studio - see you on the other side with a whole bunch of new ****!!! take it easy all!

Yeah I like profane. Got some old 8-track album (also called 'The Day We Scorched the Sky' for some reason?) that they did 2 or 3 years ago and it's good.

easy! yeah we re-released the album with 3 new tracks on it last year. Glad you like it! We arent doing the Roadhouse show now bro - we really dont want to have to take a break in writing so we have cancelled all shows in July?! We actually have some studio time on that day so we had to postpone it. All I can say is that there are a couple of very special shows planned which will be announced very soon!
