I'd prefer it if they didn't touch any of the GitS storyline. Play about with the characters abit and come up with a new storyline by all means, but if you **** with the original and just make money off the back of it's name that will be really unforgivable.

ORIGINAL: Had0ken Anyone watched K-ON!? Just watched the first episode, look's to be rather good Watched this the other day, I generally like this type of anime (like Minami-Ke and Lucky Star), but this is a cross between two things I really like 'Music' & 'Anime' and it's an epic failure on the music side, which made me grit my teeth through some parts. It's still worth a watch though because alot of my friends love that anime. You might want to try watching Beck:Mongolian Chop Squad or Nodaime Cantabile, the best music animes out there ..says I.

ORIGINAL: Robalob was just about to make this thread, i've never ventured into movies/tv before [8D] right so, i've only really watched Death Note and Afro Samurai and i loved both of them, any recommendations? www.myanimelist.net Search for Death Note > Go to recommendations. Same with any anime you like, there's bound to be something else.

You'll find nothing out there like Death Note (or nothing good). There's Code Geass, which i'm not a big fan of but most people seem to think it's similar. There's Legend of Galactic Heroes which was a big inspiration for Ohba and Obata, that is definately worth a watch although you might not enjoy it if your looking for perfect Mad House style animation. Does anyone know if the One Piece games on the Wii are any good? I'm thinking of buying it for my friends birthday.

Similar to death note is code geass which has already been mentioned [which I love :)] Elfen lied and FMA are probably one of the more well known animes along with naruto but I dont particularly like those hah My favourite manga is vampire knight but the anime ruined it for me as it left too much of the story stuff out but it does have the same voice actor from death note, so ye never know you might like it :) Hope that helps also mangafox is good for reading some other mangas online before actually purchasing it

i'm quite a way behind at the moment. i'm following it in the dub which is behind anyway but i have quite a few episodes of that to catch up on anyway. where i am at the moment they've only just met ochido(sp) in the forest after going into hueco mundo, which google tells me is the end of season 7. i didn't think the bount arc was all that bad, when season 3 was coming to an end loads of people were saying how it's crap filler until the story comes back. it's nowhere near as good as the season 1-3 story but it still stands up by itself and the whole 'aizen is bidding his time' delay made sense. edit: i've just found out why they were so cheap, amazon has a 12 days of christmas sale on so seasons 1 and 2 are 58% off and season 3 is about 40% or something. it ends on december 4th though so heads up if anyone wants something cheapy cheaps on amazon

the bount arc was pretty good, it started kinda slowly but in the second series it was really good, its just that the next arc is awesome and really puts it into perspective

Saw this recently and loved the laid back style which reminded me of Azumanga Daioh. Ok the music might not be the best but I like how it set itself to be about the trials and tribulations of a group of girls wanting to form a band to be famous but ends up being about them having fun with. Bit like most school bands I know of back when I was in school.
You want me to put my ding-a-ling in your fairy cave?! Are you mad woman!?

Kuro****suji: Watched this ages ago and it's really great, animation is brilliant. Reminded me of Death Note (shinigami = devil butler). Soul Eater: Death the Kid is hilarious, his obsessive compulsive disorder had me in stitches the first time I saw it.

;_; I wish they could draw faster and make moar Bleach. I was like really getting into the new episodes, the one where Ichigo broke the captain commanders barrier and everything fell to sh it. I think this is a filler, I've been watching it for so long I can't remember if it is or not. I found a bleach wiki I didn't know existed though: http://bleach.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page xD I was getting into One Piece as well from taking a break for so long, watched like all the way up to the current episode from 390+.

I'll happily read this even if it's just half as good. ORIGINAL: Blixium I was getting into One Piece as well from taking a break for so long, watched like all the way up to the current episode from 390+. Your very close to 400, that's where they reveal the ..... well just watch it and see for yourself Although I'll tell you they introduce some brilliant characters; Boa Hancock, The Eleven Super Novas and Silvers Rayleigh.
