The direct download sites I use have been banned, so has tokyo-toshiken (I think). Here are some stream sites which I now use- http://www.zomganime.com/anime-series-list/ http://www.kumby.com/ ORIGINAL: Blixium Also, I've found The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and started watching it, it's actually pretty good, can't believe I never bothered to watch this before, I just hope it doesn't have a fail ending. Did you watch it in order of release or actual sequential order? Not many people know this but it's meant to be watched in a certain order. That way you can pick out very subtle but clever moments in the anime that you would never pick up on if you watch it in the correct order. (it's like the film; Memento) Whatever you do, DO NOT watch the second season! Even if you enjoyed the first season like me. Biggest waste of time, I gave it 1/10 in my anime rating list. Anime I'm watching now is Nodame Cantabile which is actually based on a TV series rather than a manga. It's about classical music but it's written in such a humerous way (akin to Honey and Clover but slightly funnier). Joes_noose will love this one.

The only reason why I watched twice was because my girlfriend is a believer of Haruhi-ism (religiously follows the anime ....poor girl) and won't shut up until I've watched it with her (poor me ¬_¬*).

I'll watch it again I guess when I have absolutely nothing to watch, I liked the whole god-type-thing, was kinda interesting. I actually found it through recommended anime off Tenchi, so there must be something else like it that's a bit better/moar actions. Kinda found Haruhi boring when it dragged with all those day trips in and how they just sat around the club room for most of the episodes, reminds me of Lain... *falls asleep now* [8D]

No need to feel that, given that the Japanese have been making art for 600 years longer then the rest of the world. We are all behind if anything.[8D] Was just dropping the names of some classics, that always seem to be overlooked. Patlabor! Dominion: Tank Police! 3X3 Eyes!. There, I did it again.[8D] [Edit] I still have them all on VHS. *Scratches beard* "Why you kids today, ya don't know what violence is." *Shakes fist*[8D]

Sure, It's a start. But if you ever get into the whole Lupin thing, there is tons to lookout for. It's very out of context Japanese bond equivalent. Maybe checkout 'Excel Saga', just cos it's short, piss funny and weird as fuck.

It only hurts at first, like your mind is being expanded or something.[8D] Yeah they were taking the piss well, the entire season. It gets even madder if you read the stuff thats sometimes happening in the background. Stuff like with that dog gif. Cool. Well these are 2 of the shows that kept anime alive for me, once I saw Ninja Scroll, nothing came close to that level of enjoyable for a long time.

Yeah, Ninja Scroll's great. Alot of new stuff seems to annoy me though, I don't like the animation style. Take Devil May Cry for example, I don't know why I don't like it mind [8D]

ORIGINAL: cocaine_and_toupees Is D.Gray Man as good as I hear? Funnily enough I just started to watch this last night, I never got around to watching it but it seems quite interesting. I'm on like episode 3 though. >_> But yeah, I just went back to watch One Piece from episodes 400+ It's like they bloody killed it, its gone so crap. ._. Wtf is with all the scene-style singing and shiz with the intro? And it's a bit more dramatic than usual, hm, I may just give up on watching it. But I have to say, has anyone seen Bleach episode 235 lately? The anime has really improved. [>:] I'm waiting on 236, it's a filler but its actually a pretty kool filler, all their Zanpaktou escaped from their swords. xD AWSUM.

Gray Man a go later aswell as carrying on watching Hellsing. I could never really get into One Piece [X(] I watched 235 yesterday, it is for once a good filler story. The manga's upto a very good point in the story, I don't see how they could carry it on after this though unless Aizen escapes or something.

I love one piece manga. However the English anime dub is so modded and dumbed down I can not watch it and the Japanese version the voices annoy the hell out of me

If anyone has suggestions on newer works that are reminiscent of the 80s releases I would be very grateful? That is the only way I can see myself getting back into it......

Not really improved so much, the manga has been a bit dry (fight, after fight, after fight, after fight ....oh and what are they doing at the moment? Oh yes more fighting) so I guess the filler seems a bit more interesting than usual.

Wouldn't surprise me if they somehow came up with a way to keep Aizen alive and bring another few more stories in.

Haha, nice. I want the one where he has the Shinigami uniform on, I forgot the proper name of it. >_< But yeah, has anyone watched D.Grey-man all the way through before? Just kinda don't wanna waste my time if the ending is really "don't bother, ugh". I kinda like it, simple + cute. I'm on episode 24 now.

I watched about 7 so far then stopped watching it and switched to Nodame Cantabile and Kuro****suji, recommend both purely because of the awesomeness of the characters. I think you'll like Kuro****suji (Blixium), it has light amount of blood and a dark & humourous side to it. Nodame Cantabile has one of the quirkiest character I've come across, you'll know who I mean if you watch it (recommend to everyone!!! GO WATCH IT NOW!!!).

I'm sure this will have been covered before but I was looking for it and thought I'd share my findings... Ponyo will be released in cinemas nationwide on February 5th 2010. The DVD will be released in mid June 2010. Gay! has anyone watched it yet? any good? No spoilers please I know very little about it and want to enter it with an open mind confident that he'll tell a story worth telling well enough for me to follow easily (an approach that has reaped rewards in the past - I've only read the source material for Howl before seeing the film in the past)
RIP Joe "You say the hill's too steep to climb.
