Another draw. Yay. [:l] In fairness though, a point against Sunderland isn't bad and I expected us to loose to what is quite a good side. We're keeping more clean sheets/not leaking as many goals. I reckon if we had Bent playing we'd of beaten Liverpool, Sunderland, Stoke, Blackburn and maybe got something out of the Fulham game.

Jamie_Kinman and maybe got something out of the Fulham game. The Fulham game that we won? I do agree with what you're saying though, to an extent. I said it in the main chat thread, and I've repeatedly said it to my family, but no matter how much of a idiot-gimp our manager is, he has had a rough time with injuries. I really do think we'd be in a much better place right now if our squad hadn't been butchered.
Pep If you finish above us, I'll eat my shoe and wear a Villa shirt for the entire season. That's how confident I am.

We still got draws against Wolves, Newcastle, QPR, Everton, and if I remember rightly, he missed sitters in all those games...

Woops, was looking at our past results, must of read it wrong :P And Dave, I wasn't saying we WOULD have one them ALL but I reckon we might of been 3/6 points better off if he wasn't crocked.

We'll win on Tuesday and that'll be enough to stay up I reckon. I just want this season over and done with.

Yeah I said that a week or so ago. The sooner it's over the better. I don't understand how a manager can do such a bad job and still have his position. He's taken what was previously a Europe standard team (granted we've no longer got Young, Milner, Barry, Downing etc. Let's not go there lol) to a team fighting for survival in the premiership. Granted Houllier was a right tit and didn't do a great job either but it was a damn sight better than this crop of crap [:l]

I'm a tad bit annoyed that I had a ST for this season, but that is just because I may never get the chance to have one again, been excited to go to every game and when they players have come out I've always had a huge smile on my face. I think we have a really strong depth in the team now, just have to hope they youth develop. It has come to the stage where I think we need to make a decision about a lot of the younger players as they are getting to the age where they'll want first team football, but I don't think I want any of them to leave bar maybe the Fonz, kinda given up on him.

Fonz needs to go now, he's never really done it for any of the teams he's played for. And as you say we need to decide what we're doing. If we keep our youngsters great but let's get some experience in with them. Also if we get a serious offer for aggy as much as I like the guy he's definitely replaceable and he just doesn't score enough for me.

The problem with Gabby is the first 10 or so games of next season he will score 6 goals and everyone thinks he is finally going to be that amazing player.

How tragic. Three points from the drop. Seriously worried. Bolton have a game in hand over some teams. Blackburn are showing some fight, so are QPR. So are all the teams down there... apart from us. Hate to say it boys... we're in the ****. This is the first time ever I feel ashamed of being a Villa fan.

Don't be ashamed. Yeah we're **** at the moment and we probably will go down. We'll come back from it. We just gotta keep supporting the team through thick and thin. Never be ashamed about who you support though.

In fairness though we've had to deal with not having Dunne, Petrov and Bent, and now we've lost Ireland and Collins.

We still need one more win I reckon. All the games are winnable as is every game in the prem. If we do go down we just have to deal with it and come back stronger.

I don't think I'll mind us going down too much, we've been lucky to have been in the top flight for so many consecutive seasons, and not had to experiance going down, and it would be nice to have a season where we don't get thrashed by Man United and the other top teams. Plus we'll be favourites to win the league!

After the initial rubbish feeling of getting relegated and the season started it wasn't so bad when we were down there. The fact that we won it pretty comfortably probably helped with that, mind. In the long(ish) run it's definitely done us a favour - we cleared out all of the dead wood that had been dragging us down for years and were left with people who actually wanted the club to do well. It's still a terrible feeling though - won't be mocking the villa fans like they did with us when they sent us down the other year. What do you reckon your chances in the championship are like if the worst does happen? Think you'll bounce back relatively easily?

I presume we'll keep most of the youth and Gabby, who will be easily good enough for the Championship.

Bent will be sold with out a doubt and probably for less than half we bought him for. Could see Ireland going as well. Maybe Shay if someone's in need of a keeper in the prem but most teams seem to have solid keepers in the prem. I could see us going down to the championship being quite good for the younger players... BUT **** that. Don't want to go through that kind of shame

Someone as tight as Lerner would not sell Bent for less than we paid for him. He is under contract so he can't do anything but play if nobody bids the required amount.

Yeah Bent would go for at least £20 million. If Lerner doesnt get the money like shredder says he'll stay.

I think we are going down, last season we had the experience to stay up, with kids I can't see us doing it.
