Yeah I think we're fucked to be honest. It will mean mcleish has to go though surely and we can start again. ship out all the crap we've got in the club and start from the ground up again. Even if we stay up we need to do this anyway.

Apparently the negativity is really affecting the kids though.

BlameDave Apparently the negativity is really affecting the kids though. Not surprised at all! Are you talking about the negativity from fans and what not because of possible relegation and the impact all that's having on them OR the negative style of football? Either way both are valid. This un-creative negative football that Mcleish employs within the team is only going to stifle players like Bannan, Albrighton and the others. Who was captain on the weekend by the way? In fact who has been captain recently? Seem to of not noticed who took the arm band We really need some of the older players like Shay to help the youngsters through this, even Heskey! As useless as he is now he was a force in his prime and must know an awful lot about the game and has been in similar situations like this before. Those few senior players MUST step up and take responsibility. I'd even accept having Heskey play these last few games for experience' sake, which is a big thing coming from me given the amount I hate Heskey

Heskey has been amazing in the last two games, him and Weimann have looked pretty good together, better than Gabby and Weimann in my opinion. Gabby has been captain, but with him not starting due to his shoulder on Tuesday Cuellar took the arm band. With the negativity, I was talking about from the fans, on the way back a woman was saying she was speaking to Collins and he said it was really affecting them. You also have to remember that the youth were used to winning everything going, and now come into a team who are used to losing everything!

He's got more experience than pretty much all the youth put together Seems like a top guy and someone they should all be looking up to. I've never understood people giving the captaincy to strikers. It's a centre mid, back or keeper. Simples.

Terry Butcher? Roy Keane? Patrick Viera? John Terry? Steven Gerrard? Franz Beckenbauer? Iker Casillas? Need I go on? Yeah there have been some good attacking captains over the years I've just always sided with the idea of a central player towards the back like you holding midfielders (Keane and Viera), your full backs (Terry) and your keepers are the best suited as they often have a full view of the game and well up untill recent years were the heart and back bone of the team, you just gotta look at some of the names I listed to see that..... BUTCHERRRR!

I was under the impression that we are going to lose the nest three games, which was why I'd always said a loss to Bolton would be enough to see us relegated. Now that has happened, we NEED results from each game. A win against the Baggies tomorrow is essential. Can't remember being this scared of a football match, like, ever.
Pep If you finish above us, I'll eat my shoe and wear a Villa shirt for the entire season. That's how confident I am.

I'm honestly not too bothered if we go down, would rather go down and storm the championship then struggle again next season

That's risky though, The Championship is a weird league. There's no guarantee you'd come straight back up.

VILLA: Given, Hutton, Cuellar, Dunne, Lichaj, N'Zogbia, Herd, Clark, Warnock, Agbonlahor, Heskey. Subs: Guzan, Collins, Ireland, Bannan, Carruthers, Gardner, Weimann. Can't see any goals coming from that starting 11 if I'm honest

Big day today boys. I've got faith. Collins and Dunne back. I'd like to see them both starting, bring back some MoN era defending form! Weiman to play out of his skin along with Herd, Bannan and Albrighton HAH! Who am I kidding

BlameDave I think McLeish knew he absolutely couldn't lose today It's true. If we lost my god he'd get the booing of a life time. I think he should retire tbh, he's bloody useless I just don't understand how someone can do such a bad job and still have his job! Oh and at least we're a point safer now... optimist? [:s]
