I get the feeling that the majority of peeps saying Lambert is there number 1 choice, wouldn't have done so if he hadn't already been strongly linked in the press. He's a good choice, don't get me wrong, but he wouldn't have been my number one choice by a longshot.

Why do I have this horrible feeling he isn't going to get the sack?  I genuinely think I'd prefer ANY manager in the premier league over this sack of sh it. I'd take a season under Martinez than a repeat of this year. Martinez has shown glimpses of what Wigan were capable at the end of the season. I strongly feel that with our squad and a few reinforcements of his choosing we'd do pretty well.

Just looking at the relegated or potential relegated club, who would you like us to try and sign? My Choices: Jarvis, Hoilett, Eagles, Reo-Coker  Taiwo, barton (maybe) Taarabt, Zamora are the ones that stand out to me Also looking increasingly likely that McLeish will be staying on I reckon

Hahah thank f uck for that! I'd take Jarvis, Hoillet, Zamora, Taiwo and Taarabt out of those you've pointed out. I'd always be cautious about signing defenders from relegated teams, for obvious reasons.

Taiwo and Hoilett all day. Taiwo, as we are always in desperate need of new fullbacks, and I personally think he's one of the better fullbacks in the league. And Hoilett is seriously amazing, has a huge future. Will do wonders in a better team, and if we get a new attacking manager in, he'd suit us perfectly.

In the Villa thread I like to dream. I often forget just how sh it we've gone...  Nah, I dunno. I reckon if we got a new manager in place early on, and then were the first club to put an offer on the table, I could see it happening... Not at all likely, but we're still in with a shout dammit!
