Taste of Chaos, Glasgow Academy. Maylene and the Sons of Disaster - 8/10 Every Time I Die - 8/10 In Flames - 6/10 Killswitch Engage - 8/10 Really good gig, all 4 bands have played better sets and had better sound when I've seen them previously, but I enjoyed it muchly.

Toxic Holocaust/Goatwhore/Skeletonwitch Toxic Holocaust - 7/10. Good, solid thrash, even if the vocalist looks like he should be in Steel Panther. Goatwhore - 9/10 - Awesome. Brilliant performance, tight as fuck. Really enjoyed it. Skeletonwitch - 9/10 - Been waiting 2 years to see this lot live. Only complaint is that the set was way too short. Great performance by one of my favourite bands of recent times. Awesome gig all in, even if the doors opened at half 6, and the gig finished at half 9!

Motorhead, Hammersmith Apollo. 4/10. Time to be brutally honest: Motorhead need a radical overhaul of their setlist. They have a huge back-catalogue of songs but it seems like they play exactly the same ones every time I see them, and they play too many down-beat, dull, slow songs. Not enough 'Don't dance to this, you'll fuck yourself up' stuff. Much as I love the band, it's getting tedious. Drop Metropolis for a start, and move on from there. As for the venue, well I think some clot decided it was winter and put the heating on. I nearly expired from heat exhaustion - and I was sitting! Not one to write home about.

Alice Cooper -Machester Apollo 24/11/09 - 3/5 - I have also done a review for it. This is my first ever attempt at reviewing a gig so may not be brilliant. Constructive comments/citicism are welcome. There was only one support band tonight and that was Man Raze. For those of you that have never heard of Man Raze, they are a 3 piece band with the vocalist/guitarist being the lead singer from Def Leppard. Looking round the crowd it is obvious no-one has heard of them or know any of there music, there mix of basic riffs and killer solos definitely warmed the crowd over. Having only seen 15 minutes of there set (due to traffic) I was very happy with there performance and these are one band who I would definitely like to see again if I get the chance. Having never seen Alice Cooper before I was quite sceptical about what I was about to see, as I had heard mixed reviews of his performances. I knew something was going to be quite special about Alice Cooper’s performance seeing as a huge back drop was covering the stage so no-one could see what was going on. As the time approached 9.15 the fans were eager for Alice Cooper to come on stage, the opening intro to “Schools Out” started and the back drop removed to uncover the stage which showed the “Alice” in huge stage high lettering. Seeing as “Schools Out” is one of Alice Cooper’s biggest songs it was strange to hear it at the start of his set. The fans don’t seem to either care about his music or they don’t know is other songs apart from his hits, after only 5 songs into his set Alice Cooper plays what I call is his biggest single “Poison” the fans go wild for it singing word for word, again the crowd fell silent after that. The other big crowd reactions to his songs was during “Mr Nice Guy”, other than that the crowd for me was pretty silent. Having been told that Alice Cooper does tricks/illusions on stage I was expecting something, 3 songs into his set Alice brings on his stage his guillotine, I was amazed at the stunt created as I have never experienced it at a live gig. Throughout his set Alice Cooper did several other illusions including being injected with a large needle during Poison, hanging himself and what can only be described as being in a large box and having several spikes pushed through him. Overall I was very impressed with the stage show, however I was bored after only an hour into his 1 ½ hour performance as he didn’t interact with the crowd one bit not even to introduce a song, only interaction he gave was when introduced the band member’s. I personally would give Alice Cooper 3/5 based on the stage show however his lack of communication let him down.

Taste of Chaos, Newcastle Academy. I forgot my earplugs so had to ask for some downstairs which made this gig worse than it possibly could of been as they were uncomfortable. Maylene and the Sons of Disaster - 5/10 I just thought these were very painfully average. Nothing special going for them really. Every Time I Die - 8/10 Obviously going to be the band of my night. Wish they had longer but the setlist was pretty good. In Flames - 6/10 Expected better but they were pretty decent. Killswitch Engage - 6/10 The intro was class but the rest was quite samey. I got bored after aorund 40mins. But for that 40mins i enjoyed it. Holy Diver was the song of my night.

ToC in Glasgow! Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster - Solid set, terrible sound but 5/10 Every Time I Die - Background noise for me, one or two songs sounded alright but I didn't pay them much attention, 4/10 In Flames - Pure unadulterated awesome [8D] I loved their set, 9/10 Killswitch Engage - Despite a kinda bland setlist they were ace live, 9/10
