Bowling For Soup (Birmingham Academy) 8/10 - Good solid performance, great entertainers and even had a sing along to Mary Poppins. Support: Zebrahead 8/10 - Cant say I know much of their stuff but really enjoyed the set. Was kool to meet them all after the show too. MC Lars 3/10 - Didnt enjoy them, only giving them a 3 because I enjoyed a pint and the graphics on the screen behind them. The Leftovers 5/10 -They were alright, cant really say much more than that.

This Will Destroy You last night with And So I Watched You From Afar. I still can't actually get over how good this gig was. I hadn't listened to And So I Watched You From Afar before but they blew me away and I thought they'd be tough to top but This Will Destroy You absolutely annihilated them. This gig boredered on a religious experience for me, 10/10 easily.

My last gig was Black Stone Cherry on Tuesday, of which i'll give it a 9/10 overall. Black Stone Cherry 9.5/10 - They really are a tight as hell live band now, pretty good setlist too, <3 Backwoods Gold. Duff Mckagan's Loaded - 6/10 - Seemed pretty decent live, but the music didn't really grab or excite me, the Misifts cover of Attitude was pretty fun though. Didn't get there in time to see Parlor Mob.

I'm pretty much crying reading this, as I have a ticket for tonight's gig in Glasgow, but have just had to give it to a friend as I'm suffering from a trapped nerve in my back and am in horrible pain and can't walk. Gutted doesn't even come close to how I feel. I'm hoping I'm healed in time to see ISIS on sunday, would be totally devastated if not. Sounds amazing though dude, I can imagine TWDY being euphoric and mesmerising live. I hope they can make it back soon.

Black Stone Cherry @ Glasgow Barrowlands - 9.5/10. Despite having to play 2-3 songs in the dark due to some lighting failures (I guess we were all rocking out so much we literally almost brought the house down...), their set was absolutely fantastic. The crowd was the loudest I've heard in a long time and you could tell the band were loving it. Really good gig, only negative thing for me was that Big City Lights & Drive weren't on the setlist.

Blackstone Cherry - hammersmith 10/10 Once again this band prove that you don't have to have kick drums and screaming or masks and dance beats to be one of the best bands playing at the moment, flawless and thoroughly entertaining for nearly 2 hours
