Flags will be banned in the arena

Due to an overwhelming number of complaints from people and now we have had chance to view the footage from previous years and can see what everyone means (and not see the acts on stage!), we will be banning flags on sticks in the main arena. Hope you all understand that this is to ensure that everyone can enjoy what's on stage.

Thats greatnews. The amount of photo's i have ruined because of some guy with a flag near the front. I really dont see how it adds to the person holding the flags enjoyment of the festival. how will this be enforced near the front?

I don't pay £200 to see nothing but cheap/tacky flags flapping around in front of my view. And if that isn't bad enough, they also abscure the filming as well, so even the TV screens become useless.

They will be stopped at the entrance to the arena and anyone who breaks the rule will be ejected from the festival. Its a rule and if someone thinks they can be funny by smuggling in a stick up their ass then they should expect swift action. Plus I've booked a sniper!!

In fairness, phones don't help when the battery has died by the time Friday comes along. Not only that, but people don't hear their phones when bands are on.

i manage to find lewis in the crowd - all the time without flags or phone... it is not *that* difficult. Just use poi's to triangulate with. Say your friends are 2/3s of the way up - work out the nearest stall to them and you know where to head

you have a meeting place, the dunlop tyre used to be a favourite, an ice cream van etc..

if you just want to meet up after bands then plan your weekend, so you know where your mates are if 3 mates are at stage 2 and you want to be at the main stage, and you all want to see a band at stage 3 then meet up at said meeting point and all hold hands to the gig..

Haha, am only messing. Tbh if i dont go into the crowd with mates i dont expect to see them til i come out, and then is usually "am by the ice cream van to the left of main!!!! I will sacrifice landmark spotting for the ability to see the stage and not a giant Jager flag!
