Synfection Pretty much what our proposals would look like. Obviously fill into the corners with walls/other guff and add a roof to each stand. If there's one thing I dislike about the game today its that all new stadiums (Emirates, Etihad, etc) look exactly the same. Nice to see this proposed plan you have doesn't fall into that trap. Congratulations on becoming European Champions for the first time last night as well, regardless of what anyone says you make your own luck in football and having been robbed of a re-match against United back in '09, you fully deserve it

It's been a long time coming. That makes it all the sweeter. What is it, five semi-finals agonisingly lost, often with contentious decisions? Plus a final lost on penalties? Yep, I think this group deserves at least one. All of a sudden, Liverpool in 2005, United in 2008, Barcelona in 2009, Inter in 2010 don't hurt anymore.

Synfection Why we haven't offered him the job already is beyond me. I think when the emotion has subsided, it's going to be tough to balance the Cup wins vs the fact you actually didn't do that well in the league under him. How much of the wins in the semis and the final were down to riding your luck and individual players providing moments of excellence, rather than his managerial skills? He's a great guy, but you did worse under him in the league and actually fell back in terms of positions and distance between yourselves and Arsenal. I wouldn't be too shocked if he's gone relatively soon

He does not play the football the Russian Crook wants. I can't find the article but there was some stats on Chelsea's style of play under Di Matteo. Possesion percentage down, pass numbers down, long balls up, short passes down, percentage played in opponents half down.

Chelsea FC - The thread of European Ballbags

I would say give RDM a chance, but if he doesn't perform in the league, he'll get sacked in 6 months, and tarnish what he's just achieved. Honestly, I think it would be better for him to walk away himself, and just say "yeah, this is what I achieved. It's done. I did my job. Good luck to the next guy"

We're going to need a new song to sing at you aren't we? Have you won 7 league titles doesn't quite have the same ring to it

If we appoint RDM he won't last the season and I don't want to trust a manager that won't be here that long with the job of completely rebuilding our squad. He will always be a legend though and I really like him, I just don't think he's the right man.

Please don't soil that wonderful power station by putting your stadium INSIDE the thing... Jesus, that'll never get persmission, hopefully.

Botchla Please don't soil that wonderful power station by putting your stadium INSIDE the thing... Jesus, that'll never get persmission, hopefully. Thing is, it's not going to be restored. It's only going to go into further decay if it's not redeveloped. I'm not saying that should be us specifically, but the only way the building is going to maintain it's character and stature for a long period of time will be from development. Nobody is just going to spend hundreds of millions to restore it and leave it there for prosperity. It's either development or decay. Most of the power station will be kept if our plans went through. Only the unlisted East turbine hall would be demolished and one stand would be partly inside.

Honestly, if we didn't win it again I would be content. Well, right now anyway. Give it a few years then I'll be hungry for it again, I'm sure. Nothing will match the euphoria of the first trophy, though, I guess. Mind you, becoming the first team to retain the trophy in the CL era would be hilarious. We've trolled London, next time we could troll Europe Not gonna happen, though, I realise that.

Really sad to hear the news of Drogba leaving stamford bridge, But i had a strong feeling if we won it he would leave. Forever a legend at chelsea. Very sad, as it feels like im seeing the end of an era of chelsea which iv enjoyed watching and celebrating over the years, Wonder whos next, proberly JT but lampard, i want him to stay right untill the end of his career at chelsea and hopefully become part of the staff. Not like all this hazard crap , who does this guy think he is ? The money spent on him could purchase you two great players but still got a sneaky feeling were gonna get him. Not too fussed if we dont , Lucas , would be over the moon if we signed him but its alot of money again....
