Just started watching it, I can see why everyone makes such a fuss over it really enjoying it. Half way through first season, I've already decided I hate everyone that isn't a Stark 

I can't wait for Season Three.

Currently reading the third book, cant wait to read the next. They are a rare & effortless read. George.RR Martin you are a genious. After reading the first two books im happy with series on tv, The House of the Undying was the most dissapointing part but the ending was great, i love how they look at sam and see he's useless

i started reading this book a few days ago and im over half way through its so good but its keeping up till silly oclock reading it im knackered  , im never likely to ever watch the tv show but i wil be buying the other books

Books are really good :).
 
Don't watch the TV Show until you have finished.. Its always better the imagine the characters as you see them when reading.. Then have an annoying already placed look for them in your head by seeing the show

I predict season 3 will be acceptable. Season 4 will be ****ing immense.

just finished the second book now not quite as good as the first but still brilliant im normaly reading at least 3 books at a time but ive read nothing elses except these books since i started them about 3 weeks ago just so addictive  off to the library  to get the third going to have a look on ebay to see if i can buy the dvd of the tv show wil probably take me a year to watch it but i will give it  a go

 

You  should make the effort to watch the TV show it's immense

The first season is far better than the first book. The second not a patch on its literary brother. I expect this to continue, but it's certainly worth a bash.

Series 2 was rubbish wasn't half as good as the first.

If that's the case I'd advise all new readers to stop after book 1 and watch both TV series, then carry on reading from book 2. As I absolutely loved series 2 - and I haven't yet read the book.

Even just as TV, ignoring the books entirely, season 2 is a mess next to season 1. Most of it is tiresome and completely preposterous.

I thought season 2 was great. You lot make season 1 sound overrated

to be fair, there was no way of doing clash of kings well really. The riot and blackwater alone would've been more than the budget for the whole thing if they'd been faithful to the books. Hopefully the next couple of seasons wont be quite so costly.

I think they're just attempting to put every single British person who's ever been in more than one program in this show. Diana Rigg is pretty inspired, though.

the rest of the books arrived this week so im ploughing through number 3 still not bought the dvds yet but will on this threads recommendation

 

Watched the first game of thrones trailer the other day realized it has what looks like the Brandon and Rickard killing. Researched it and found out they cut the scene completely,its not even on the bloody Boxset.
