Big scrolling shot of Harrenhal looks IMMENSE. The Mountain still looks rubbish and his acting is honking. That aside, s02e07 probably features the best acting the series has seen.

Who's the actor that plays the Lannister messenger to the Starks? I know I've seen him somewhere before but I cant think where.

If they're not killed on screen they're no dead. That's the way it always is. Even so, that was a superb and very powerful end to the episode. The last two episodes have really pushed Theon forward as a supremely evil bastard. Jamie absolutely decimating Caitlyn was fantastic as well.

I agree with everything in this post 100% I totally agree, Mountains and beyond the wall aren't what I hoped them to be but I can deal with it. Harrenhal looked amazing best place Ive seen so far - I think. I have to say though I preferred the books way of doing Dany scenes to how HBO have done it. But I can understand having to cut down. Not many episodes left now :(

Harrenhal was awesome, I agree. Shocking end, great twist for those of us who haven't read the books and wow, Theon is just a horrible bastard. Arya was awesome. Jamie Lannister looked amazingly Sawyer-esque (Lost) and I was disgusted to find myself rather attracted to him. I thought it was a good episode, am a tiny bit concerned about the pacing, and how much feels like it still needs to happen before the end of the series. But again, as I've not read the books, and it being just one book in a series, I'm probably misjudging it.

Is there only 10 episodes again this season? Seems to be a lot left to cover in the last 3

Yep, three left. Also, it was noted in this episode that Stannis is 'five days' from Kings Landing, so everything episodes 8 and 9 take place in five days. Seems a bit to cram in there.

The next episode is going to be insane. They've got Neil Marshall who directed Dog Soldiers, The Descent and Doomsday directing as he's used to handling such a big budget! Not saying more than that :)

Maybe when they do S03 they will add more eps.. even if its only 2 or 3 would do the series some good.

Not saying more than that :) He's directing Blackwater, not The Prince of Winterfell (ep 8). Of course, bar Dog Soldiers everything he's directed has been dreadful. Alan Taylor is doing the next one - of Sopranos, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Rome, Deadwood, Six Feet Under etc fame, along with several previous GoT episodes.

Only 10 episodes?!! Why did I think it was either 12 or 16! I'm devastated I should have read the book after all, then it wouldn't have come as such a shock! Expecting big, big things from the last 3 episodes then.
