I didn't think to much of the ending either. But I think the way the film was done was excellent. Super 8 is good too, although not as good as Cloverfield.

prettyrhinosaur Congrats, Mark! Cheers. Liking the sig btw, I could watch that little cun t getting slapped all day. I think Cloverfield is a swell film, definitely up there with the best shaky found footage films like Blair Witch and [REC].

Finally getting some work as a sound guy. Got two job offers today, working on an installed sound art thing at the olympics, and as a sound dep (fill in guy) on Blood Brothers in the West End. To work on a West End musical is a dream come true.

MrMellow ^^^ That's great news mate. Congratulations! Thanks mate. Went around asking for work experience and getting nowhere for 6 months. As soon as I ask people to pay me, they want me. Madness.

Especially the West End stuff though - I imagine, like any job in that field, it's all about getting your foot in the door to get to other opportunities in the future, so congrats again - it's a really big deal.

Thanks man. Yeah, pretty much all jobs require "experience in a large-scale musical", so you get trapped unable to get the experience to get in. I just got lucky the a show was desperate. Going to spend the year doing bits on as many shows as possible, then back to uni for a year, then out to hit the big time.
