Thanks for the input vampy one. Will do some more updating soon. Think I'll keep basic info about the packages only in the main post, with links to more info/details/costs when they go on sale

No worries Beamie. I could always chuck it all into another thread and have a link from this one to it.

Anyways, yet another one for you

Can i resell my RIP ticket?

If you decide you do not want your RIP ticket anymore or you cant make it then you will need to contact LN Experiences and explain to them, they will then put your ticket up for sale. People will need to contact LN directly in order to buy the ticket.

Have just done a mega edit/update to include the package info *phew*

Need to check about limits for the number of tickets in one transaction - can anyone confirm how many they've bought in one go? I've only ever bought two!

Will sort out the re-selling question tomorrow...

We use a big tent for the 2 of us, there is no problem, as long as your not taking the pee.

I was looking at r.i.p packages and I wanted to see how much a "Luxpad" would cost and I clicked on "Double" which is what I wanted but it says number of tickets 1?? and I'm thinking last time I had to have 2 tickets because 2 people in a double right?, so I'm a little confused how this works. And there are 2 prices in which one is cheaper then the other :-/ can anybody help me?

because I want to get a "Luxpad" that's a "Double" because it's 2 people going which is me and a friend.

Generally the price of a 'double' covers two people. I believe this is still the case but hopefully Jezebel can clear this up for you.

Re:RIP FAQs - 19 August 2011 18:52
The two prices shown are with or without arena tickets included. The prices quoted are per unit and cover the number of people the unit accommodates - so for a luxpad it covers two people (double or twin available) and is £1450 including arena tickets for two people.

When you go into the second screen it says Luxpad - With Tickets (2 guests).

This is covered in the summary at the start of this FAQ thread.

Hello, RIP newbie here.  Have been to Download for many years now and have finally decided to upgrade.
I have a few questions and i haven't seen them mentioned here so (and apologies if they are dumb questions):

1. I take it that unlike the extra car parking fee you pay when standard camping, parking your car next to your tent is actually included in the price you pay in the ticket?

2. What is the procedure when you get to the Park Farm campsite for the first time?  I see you have to register, is that just a fancy way of saying "Hi we're here, gives our wristband and tell us where our pitch is"?

3. When do you receive the goodie bag?  Is this upon arrival and registration?  And do you get to specify the size of the t-shirt you get?

4. I see you get a passport instead of tickets.  Is this one passport per person or one passport that equals two tickets/wristbands?

That's all for now.  Hope you guys can answer these and that they aren't stooopppiddd questions

Cheers

Morning here are some answers:

1. Car parking is included in ticket price

2. When you arrive you go to the sign in tent next to the barrier where they cross your name off the list, give you your wrist band and goodie back and let you in. You are then directed by the people where to park and pitch your tent. This is generally done by the order people arrive so you cant save spots im afriad.

3. See above

4. You get a passport per person instead of a ticket

hope this covers everything

Had a quick  scan and can;t find any reference to this.  Does anyone know what the script is with Motorbike parking?  Our plan is for Rick to get there on the Wednesday in his car, probably nice and early so he can drink himself into oblivion with The Bumholes and set up the tents then I'll turn up on the Thursday and sleep in one.  Gonna try and convince him to get a nice big tent with 2 bedrooms so it doesn't look like he's putting up 2 and kicking the arse out of it though.  does anyone know if there's hard standing available for my Bike though?

As far as I know you've got two options - leave your car in the hotel carpark or borrow one of the BBQ bricks to prop your bike stand on. Dave (Hammer/Unforgiven) comes on a bike so I'll ask him what he's done in the past.

As I thought - Dave has always parked on the grass and has used a puck or an empty beer can for his stand.

We don't know for sure, but as Vampy says, our best guess at the moment is December/January. Will update if we hear anything more certain.

*First post* woo
This has probably been answered a few times here and have been reading over a few points.
Went to DL10 was epic, black camp, in general whore festival was amazing.
Wanting to go back in 2012 and want to go RIP.
trying to convince my mates even offering to lend money to them lol (fool)

Just wanting some info:
* can you leave to rip campsite at all after 11pm? to go to the villiage? and if you are late back can you get in after 11pm from the festival itself?
* Is it quicker too get back from the areana? as walking back from arena to our camp was hectic*
*better security?*
*value for money?*

Most of what  just asked will prob be up here but i just want a sumary without looking :S so sorry  but im sure someone nice will answer :D

Reason for RIP: Lying in tent after AC/DC someone stands on tent... Directly on my head... LOL from reading this doubt it would happen in RIP

Re:RIP FAQs - 28 October 2011 07:06
Morning and welcome,

You can leave after 11pm and get back in at any point through the night, its the barrier in the car park that closes so if you leave by car after 11 you will have to wait till the morning to get your car back in.

Its alot quicker to get to the arena and back than it is from standard, i think it took us about 10 - 15 mins to walk from the campsite to the main stage, we also get our own entrance to make it quicker

It mentions sheets for the Kabin but doesn't say about the Kocoons. Is the bedding a definite?!

From crashing in the kocoon at the end of last year there was no bedding. Used my sleeping bag.

Will look for a definite answer for you though as i could be wrong.

Update: From doing some investigation i think it is safe to assume that the Kocoon's do NOT come with bedding. So bring some with you
Nothing wrong with being excited already, I'm usually over excited as soon as i buy my ticket.
