I have to say though, if we had the cap space, I think the Steelers would have been looking at him. If there's any weaknesses in the Steelers D, it is at Corner Back. Taylor and Asomugha is not as scary as Revis and Asomugha but add on Polomalu, Harrison, Woodley, Clark, Farrior and the Front 3, we would have been even more frightening. We would have also have had to get rid of McFadden too the useless twat. Shame.

wasn't orton fantastic right up until the very end last season where all his form completely disapeared?

In terms of yards gained yes, but he threw 5 of his 9 interceptions sporadically a lot mid season. 

Orton was one of the top QBs to have in Fantasy Football and then he just dropped. The news is that he has had a $1.5 million dollar roster bonus to his contract activated today so a trade is looking more unlikely. According to NFL Total Access that I watched today, Denver are looking at a 2nd round pick for him, even after a 3-10 record out of his 13 starts last season.
 
If Miami don't want him then the only team I think would take him are the Redskins. I mean I would have anyone start over Rex Grossman, even Orton!

I was hoping that if he left he'd at least go to the Jets, just so we could see how that Corner duo would work out.

Got to admire coach trying to get a 2nd round pick but the form he's in, no way is someone going to give that. I think if he starts pulling his hot and cold seasons they should just pull him and put Tebow in, I swear McDaniels was his Dad. Just refused to drop him.
