Had a weekend away in Belfast watching some EIHL games recently, got one to Glasgow booked in January and will hopefully fit in one over Christmas. Even without my Newcastle Vipers I am still loving the Elite League, it's just a total pain in the bum trying to follow it.

I mean we have Gardiner and Colbourne as our rookies, if it weren't for the big-risk trade for Kessel 2 years ago, we'd be the same old Leafs, drafting crap that never blossoms, I think of the last few years drafts we've done well with Schenn, Bozak(sort of), Gunnarson, Reimer..........Frattin?...............

Anyone see NHL 24/7 yet? The first episode aired a few days ago and I'm catching up with it through Youtube. Halfway through the first episode. God I love hockey.

We're on a streak too having beaten Minnesota and Detroit! Nice! Stubbornly stuck in 11th though, teams ahead have points and game in hand on us. Going to be tough to make the play-offs after our slow start.

Such a good run and then such a poor one since!! We were up to 9th, I was getting over excited and the long string of road games has really taken its toll. Gutted! I have my Flames jersey now so hopefully I can bring some good luck. Although I had a dream last night Ovechkin scored against us and the goal was EXACTLY like the one he did score so I may actually be a bad omen! Weird.
 
Hope Iggy can get his 500th goal soon!

So Mike Cammalleri says that Montreal are playing with a losing mentality. By the end of the week he is traded to Calgary.

what's happened down in Tampa, you guys used to be the ****, and you won it when I got into hockey 

I'm not entirely sure. We were ace last year and got to the conference finals (if I remember right) but it just hasn't happened this year.

Stammers is firing (top league scorer) and our squad hasn't changed a drastic amount but we have just struggled to dominate games. Our away record is dreadful, 8-16-3 so that is probably the key to us being 12th in the conference. We seem to have played less home games than everyone else too so far xD

Saying that, we've won 4 in a row now and are only 9 points off the capitals/8th place so if we pick it up like I know we can, we still have an outside playoff shot.

And yeah we used to be the ****. I really got into hockey when I was in Florida over the 2004 Stanley Cup finals. Lecavalier, St Louis, Richards, Khabibulin, Andreychuck. We had an ace team back then.
