And that signing alone will be how Mcleish manages to keep his job. Get on it 'Eck, you twat.
Pep If you finish above us, I'll eat my shoe and wear a Villa shirt for the entire season. That's how confident I am.

Viera was at the Lille/PSG game tonight, I can see Man City bidding big money on Hazard in the Summer.

Pretty much standard but I can see them going the extra mile to get him, hope he doesn't go there though.

Sunderland being linked with a whole load of strikers, wouldn't be surprised to see Fletcher with us next season.

I can't see him going to City if I'm honest, all the noise from Hazards end recently has been from him preferring a move to United. Fergie is obviously very interested, when was the last time he came out in public and spoke about another clubs player like he has with Hazard? Probably just building myself up for dissappointment here aren't I?

Apparently this is the deal: Charlie Adam goes to MU and Hazard comes to Liverpool to excel in wonderful pass and play football. Fair.

caffeine_bomb Viera was at the Lille/PSG game tonight, I can see Man City bidding big money on Hazard in the Summer. So was Martin Ferguson. I refuse to believe he's coming here, despite what he's said. He said same things about Barca, Spurs, Arsenal, Real Madrid in the past. He'll end up at City. Probably match them on transfer fee, but they will blow us out the water on wages. Although the arrival of Hazard at City will mean Nasri will become a very expensive bench warmer.

Now the campaign trail to keep RVP really begins for Wenger. If the reported 100k a week for Podolski is true, expect more moves from him this summer.

WarBastardGoesNorth If the reported 100k a week for Podolski is true, expect more moves from him this summer. Pretty sure that quite a few players are on that and more at Arsenal, although they did just get rid of two of their highest earners.

I have never read anything about one of their players being above 100k, and their was that infamous story about Fabregas being on very humble wages compared to other players of his calibre in this league.

Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc told Bild: "We have a new offer for Shinji and his agent, but he is not willing to sign it. Shinji is planning his own career and he has the desire to play football in England. "While there is no economic need to sell him, he has a certain market value so we have to follow this with an economic sense. We will continue to have dialogue, but if another club expresses an interest then we will listen."

I'm sure RVP and Arshavin are on £100k plus. I think Fabregas was on close to £100k, about £80k a season or two before he left. I think Mertesacker, Vermaelen and Walcott are pushing rather highly too.
