Congratulations on your progress. Losing weight is quite simple, really. Put less in and move about more. The problem is sticking to it when all of the old eating habits and vices taste so good. I lost 4 stone the other year by calorie counting and regular exercise. After a while it became a way of life. But I slipped. So I'm back on the wagon and eating less.

I'm trying to. My aim isn't a particular weight, I just bought a really nice dress and my aim is to simply fit into it and it to look nice on, not like a whale being stuffed into a condom It is so difficult to avoid pizza though

I've never had a problem with weight loss...more weight gain. I'm just so light. But I do alot of excersise, so if you want any tips just shout. Walking is great exercise and if you enjoy it, get the hiking boots on, grab a map and compass and get exploring. You'll be burning those calories in no time. Many people underestimate the great benefits of walking. My nana is 80+ and she goes on 3/4 miles walks once a week.

I'm not bothered by my weight, I think people fixate about how much they weigh and not their overall health. However I do hit the gym 2 or three times a week, have recently started on a more balanced diet and cut down on my booze intake. I'm now feeling a whole lot better in general and have a lot more energy!! Love it!!

I've been constantly at the gym since the start of february. I don't weigh myself. I don't see the point because you'd get obsessed with it! Cut back on fizzy juice and heavy meals and by looks so far, I'm loosing a wee bit at a time. Less bloated for sure! However when I went to the nurse at the start of the week she told me I'm boarderline obese! I thought I was doing rather well as clothes started to lok better on me!!!! Bloomin BMI rubbish!

Hey emma, Its good that your going to the gym constantly, But seriously you need to weigh yourself. Sometimes it is soul destroying getting onto the scales I for one know this as I weighed one stage 21-20 stone, Now I am just off 18 weighing yourself is important because you know if you are losing to much or to little or nothing at all. Also when you have lost weigh on record then it will boost your confidence and you will know what works. After losing two stone, I feel so much better and I never thought I could do it, I hope my post helps you.

"Coconut oil is very useful in reducing weight. It contains short and medium-chain fatty acids that help in taking off excessive weight. It is also easy to digest and it helps in healthy functioning of the thyroid and enzymes systems. Further, it increases the body metabolism by removing stress on pancreases, thereby burning out more energy and helping obese and overweight people reduce their weight. Hence, people living in tropical coastal areas, who eat coconut oil daily as their primary cooking oil, are normally not fat, obese or overweight." dunno what that's from, was chatting to one of my mates the other night and she was on about that though cos she's trying to loose a bit o weight.

I decided about three years ago that I wanted to lose a lot of fat, I was a 42inch waist which for me was too much. I'm about 5'10 and weighed 15 stone at the time. Here we are now and I'm a 36/Borderline 34 and still weigh 15 stone. For me it's just a balance of work (I do alot of heavy lifting) weights/cardio in the gym and running at home too. Discipline is the main factor, I don't care what anyone says. I eat what I want and if I feel I've eaten too much then I make sure I get the work done to compensate. Treating yourself to good food, is in my opinion important as a reward.

Also if you have a burger king you are consuming at least 1500 for a decent meal, I meen I put on a pound every time I eat a take away For me it's just a balance of work (I do alot of heavy lifting) weights/cardio in the gym and running at home too. Good quote, But I don't see the point of having bad food if you are just simply going to work it all off, I simply prefer having healthier alternatives because they don't have nasty crap and also they make you feel so much better.

When I was 16 I weighed about 13 '5 and was swimming for 2 hours about 4 or 5 times a week. I had to reduce this due to injury and the fact I became a bit bored of having no social life. Im 19 now and was 16 '4 at the beginning of January. I was only exercising twice a week at most , drinking hard at least once a week and eating utter crap the whole time ( at one point I was having lunch 2 or 3 times a day ) I started to get interviews for jobs on holiday resorts in the Med around this time and figured I should probably get into better shape as , whichever way you look at it , employers will hire a fit athletic person over a fatty any day of the week. Fortunately I work in a leisure centre so am mates with personal trainers and free access to two gyms. I started hitting the gym 2 or 3 times a week and doing weights for chest , bi's ,tri's and shoulders as well as getting back into swimming properly One of the biggest things was simply watching what I eat and looking into what is actually in things. I didn't want to have to drastically change my lifestyle or what I ate so it was 'interesting' for the first two weeks. For the me the biggest things has gotta be just eating more fruit ,drinking water and eating the healthy choice versions of things. Seriously co op do a lush sweet chilli chicken noodle salad which I usually have for lunch and it only has 230 calories! When your feeling peckish instead of having a chocolate bar , have a fruit salad. All major shops ( Tesco , Co op , Asda etc etc ) do really nice fruit salads for around a quid and they have 40- 80 calories in them ! I got the job and am set to move to Greece in April so have become more determined to get in shape so I can have the best season possible Weighed myself yesterday and Im down to 14 '8 , hoping to get to under 14 stone before I go to resort!

I dont think your rude but i'v took myself of to the dr's to have a check up as thyrod/diabites run in the family, so im just waiting for the results. I have an App that counts calories as i could never remeber the total etc called My Fitness Pal and i also use Nike+ when walking.
