Vegas Assault is a four piece groovy riff-rock band based in Redditch, England that features Kris Allen, Simon Donovan, Norway & Dave Zero. The band formed in October 2006 and set about writing and gigging around their local scene. Throughout 2007-2008, VA continued to perform mainly in the Birmingham area, earning many plaudits and fans along the way.
Following an extended absence that began in early 2009 Vegas Assault returned in January 2012 with the launch of their debut album ‘What Goes Around‘. The band then embarked on post-album release shows (their first in three years) earning praise and plaudits for their hard edged monster riffs, pounding groove and frantic live performances. Throughout 2012 VA moved further from their Birmingham based roots to bring their furious live shows to venues around the UK.
It’s no longer a joke, it’s a lifestyle.

“When I first heard the bass groove enter on Down I was hooked. There is so much groove on this album that even sitting here listening to it on my laptop I want to get up and dance to it. The vocals are delivered with a real drawl, Dave Zero is a true groove-rock singer.” http://andarscorner.wordpress.com/
“This album is a masterpiece in modern heavy rock. There may be other bands out there who are more technically gifted, or who know the right people and get their name out there, but Vegas Assault have managed to capture the real heart of groove-laden heavy rock. “Groove-laden” is, incidentally, one of the best ways to describe these guys, and you’ll realise what we mean when you go and listen to it.” - http://www.hevypetal.com/
“The sound here is going to get fists in the air, heads banging and a real sense of real rock flowing, it’s hard rock tinged with heavier approaches which are going to work for a hell of a lot of people.
Vegas Assault have crafted an album here which is going to happily sit along side bands of much greater stature, giving you moments which you’re going to love and tracks which you’ll return to time and time again. There’s bound to be slight issues on albums but I think it’s part of the charm here, showing you what this band actually sound like rather than relying on cleaning everything up with digital effects.” - http://loud-stuff.com/
“They’ve got huge potential, playing a hybrid of sleaze and stoner, and their guitarist played a blinder.” - Powerplay Magazine Issue 107
“Very good guitarist. Good songs. Tight, well-rehearsed & powerful performance. Great stage presence & real connection with the audience. Very good rapport. Frontman was an entertainer, great sense of humour & presence.” – Redditch BOTB 2008
