Mojo1974 nny4lenore Watching my mate dale getting searched by security going in to the vilage and all he has on is a mankini. Security then telling him to go over to the cops as it was obvious that his c*ck had been stolen. It was so funny watching his face thought he was going to throw a fit. Now thats a great story to tell your mates down the pub! I had to re-read it I was laughing so much. Mojo you might want to check out this video about 5 or 6 minutes in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSZswTPo95A

Best memory from 2011 was probably the Skindred / Ghost decision...that was killer!! After literally aages debating which to choose (it was tough since out of the 15 or so we had in our group, only two of us wanted to see Ghost and the other one caved and chose Skindred, which just left me!) I just went for it and decided to go it alone and see Ghost. Don't know why, but seeing a band on my own for the first time was extra special, probably because I had got into Ghost on my own in the first place shortly after they were announced and became pretty much obsessed...backed them so fiercly everywhere - forums, to family, to friends! So anyway, manning up and making the last minute decision to leave all my mates, turn in the other direction and head to Pepsi Max to go see them, not knowing if they'd be good or bad live, was a great thing cos they turned out to be a highlight of the weekend. Now, this year, I've got 8 of my friends wanting to see Ghost!!! Also when they finished and I left, I was walking past main stage and saw the Newport Helicopter from the food stalls - so in the end, I managed to catch one of the best Skindred bits anyway!

Where to start: - Avenged Sevenfold being on top form
- Skindred Newport Helicopter (That was last year right?)
- My first BBBQ
- Watching Gwar and turisas in the rain :D (I love it!!!)
- Seeing Rob Zombie for the 2nd time that year which was mindblowing
- Seeing some new bands I hadn't heard of properly (D.R.U.G.S and Ghost for two examples)
- having great banter during pendulum with loads of random folk
It wasn't the best DL I've had but loads of stuff from it was memorable! I wih I did see some of the main stage headliners but 2nd stage was soooooo strong last year.

My hen weekend :) So seeing all my girly friends coping with portaloos, mosh pits, male nudity aplenty and lots of loud music was one of my favourite bits to be honest. Loved the end of Skindred's set with all the shirt swinging, SOAD were brilliant, and got a bit excited when I was up on the big screens dressed in my zombie bride outfit during BMTH on the Friday. To be honest though, we saw far less bands than usual due to the size of our group and everyone being so wrecked all weekend!

3rd one I've missed Would have gone but had bought Rock Royalty tickets for Sonisphere so couldn't afford to do both fests... instead spent Saturday BBQing and then watched SOAD's Rock AM Ring (or Rock IM Park?) set on the internet that night (the same night SOAD played DL), just to keep my festival spirits high.

Didn't see enough of the bands I wanted to. Rain on Sunday didn't help. Really wanted to see Turisas, Disturbed, Bowling For Soup and BFMV. Didn't mind too much about missing Linkin Park, I'm not really a fan. Campsite banter was good. Had some jolly laughs involving a giant water balloon catapault. Although someone's nose did get broken by it. A good festival, but my favourite Download still remains 2009. Hoping this year will be the best.

Favourite Download year :) Everything about it was amazing! Spent it with the most amazing person, seen all the bands i wanted to, Thin Lizzy, Alter Bridge, Mr Big and Skindred were just fantastic! Having a laugh in the rain because i was fully prepared with big boots, poncho and bin bags for protection instead of fabric boots like 2010 lol Had the best week

Seeing SOAD was amazing! They were the guys who got me into rock music as it is. Ohhhhh, and sitting in the cinema bit watching Simpsons with friends whilst wasted and munching on chips. Drinking 1 litre of Jack Daniels on Wednesday night (which was easier than I thought) and realising I only had 2 litres left in the morning. :( Watching a girl trying to use a she-wee against a metal fence and then hearing her scream "I'M DOIN' IT! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!"... Oh dear. :D
