Seems their 'priority' on sale time is the same as the actual on sale time, mind.

A warm up gig? Download is 3 weeks away from this gig, still I suppose if Iommi is struggling it'll give him chance to recover.
Castle Donington Festivals '86, '87' 88, 90, '95, '96, '02, 05, '06, '07, '08, '10.

Presale links please. Begging ;-) The O2 priority presale time is same as general sale - friday morning 9am. Still worth checking out, i suspect they may get an allocation seperate to the normal bucket. Venue box office opens lunchtime so not a realistic option. Still hoping for a livenation one for download ticket buyers, increase the chances of getting. PS - Lift available to within 25 miles of Birmingham in exchange for a ticket if i dont get lucky ;-)) Edit - Livenation.co.uk are listing the event as tickets on sale friday. They would normally be listing presale details by now if they intended to offer one

Interesting Andy's tweet on this but i dont agree with him on this occasion, arent Sabbath, or other reforming bands like Little Angels, The Darkness exactly the ones you want doing a warm up show as they have been inactive with that lineup for so long. Surely it means a better show for Download if they blow away the cobwebs do a live gig at a venue potentially too small for them. I get some bands clearly use the gigs for other than warm up purposes, and help cover costs e.g. Andy's latest faves Axewound have 5 other gigs before Download, yet still get a London islington show. I would argue that this Sabbath gig is clearly a warm up show. Andy's tweets Andy. @andyvonhelvete · @Maverick_AC How is it that Black Sabbath can do a warm-up in Brum yet all other D'load bands aren't allowed warm-ups in Midlands? BULL****! Andy Copping @Maverick_AC @andyvonhelvete Other bands shouldn't be doing warm ups full stop Andy. @andyvonhelvete · @Maverick_AC I don't understand that logic at all. How can a warm up not benefit a D'load gig and what makes Sabbath exempt from this? Andy Copping @Maverick_AC @andyvonhelvete Because most bands are on an exclusivity clause...what's the point of a band playing DL when you can see them down the road?
First Gig - Marillion - Brixton - 13/12/85 Last Gig - Skam - Route 44 Acocks Green 10/5 Next Gig - Muse - Coventry 22/5 15xDonington - 88/90/1/2/4/5/03/5/7/8/9/10/11/12/ 13

'kin ell Copping. Surely you can see that the demand is going to massively outweigh the supply for this one. This isn't the same as Faith No More playing in London, Glasgow, Dublin, Reading and Leeds when they were supposed to be on a Download exclusive.

In the BBBQ thread, I'm pretty sure he says it's a good thing they're doing it? I'm fairly confident of getting a ticket to this, even if I have to pay. Just hope it comes through.

"O2 Academy Birmingham Saturday 19th May 2012 Doors 7pm Curfew 11pm Tickets £45.00 Advance STBF ***Tickets are onsale at 9am Friday 4th May on TicketWeb UK and at our Box Office**** The only other official outlet for this show is Ticketmaster. As we are expecting this one-off show to sell out in minutes, we are opening the venue box office at 9am to ease online congestion and the frustration of having to rely on your computer loading! The first 50 customers who are here by 08:45am will be GUARANTEED to be able to purchase 2 tickets. The box office will be selling the cheapest tickets as there will be no booking fees. Transactions will be cash only and tickets CANNOT be duplicated if lost or stolen." "There will be no presales whatsoever for this show - all tickets are available at 9am on Friday for all customers." "as this is such a massive show O2 customers do not get priority so no-one can get tickets before anyone else. Also please remember that the only authorised outlets for these tickets are our box office, Ticketweb and Ticketmaster."

Ta defsteve useful info Can i arsed to walk 1/2 mile to go box office. Yes can i arsed to queue? Nope will roll dice on website. Good to see them making effort at venue though. Experience tells me they could well actually start selling to those first 50 well before 9.
