Doggy bag review...
07 June 2012 11:36
( permalink)
So having arrived yesterday and having the anxious wait for the doggy bag.... Anybody want to tell me what that sodding neoprene skin thing is??!!?? Too big for an iPhone/blackberry etc. Too small for a can/cup. And holes in the bottom so useless to hold anything in. Basically - its crap. Vinyl sticker & dog tags - really?? Car freshener - useful for approximately 50% of the people in RIP who have brought a car. Waste of space for anyone else. Jogging bottoms - will just about do as pj's for my gf. Neck buff tube thing is good. Anyone else agree this is the worst haul of "free" crap that RIP has given? Where's the usual stuff - antibac gel/ear plugs/eye mask? Some decent merch (fleece blanket/towel etc)? Very poor

Love the jogging bottoms, ideal for slobbing around the house and a lifesaver when all of my other pants were caked in mud! Great t-shirt this year too. Oh and the snood was just fantastic for the arena :)

First year in RIP so difficult to compare to previous years. Loved the jogging bottoms and t-shirt. Saw people walking around with little shoulder bags from previous RIP years, that would have been nice. And the ear plugs and eye masks would have been nice. Still, no complaints from me. I just loved every minute of being in RIP to be honest.

Thumbs up from me, loved the fact they gave us a full set of clothes if the weather ruined what we had. The snood was good for keeping warm & I use them on my bike. The neoprene holder is for bottles/cans not pints, however they should stretch round most things, the car air freshener became a rather handy tent freshener.

Great to have the joggers, as I had something clean I could wear for the drive home. TBQH, i'm not normally that arsed what they put in the bags, so long as I get the TShirt and Programme and some branded tat. I've gone for the bands and the experience.
Good gigs are like buses, you wait ages for one, then you end up with loads at the same time.

The Doggy bag was cool as, not sure what your problem is? Some cool extras in theref. I was happy with the T-Shirt but i got extra stuff as well...It felt like a lucky dip bag when i was younger I got it back to the tent and was so happy to receive what we got. Roll on next year ppl [sm=food-smiley-004.gif]

Its the best one they've ever done, could have done with a cup but thats about it. Joggers are awesome, t-shirt is great and everything else is really good. Also, the neck buff thing is called a snood If you didn't like it, you could have given it back.

I do genuinely believe that if the doggy bag contained a t-shirt, a crate of beer, a block of gold and a voucher for a Blowjob then people would still complain about them!!!

joggers are ace - and you'd be payin 25 for a t-shirt as good as that - and all in fatboy sizes :-) Prog is another 10 - so about 50 all in I'd say if you were having to buy them all as souvenirs separately. So happy on this score. Save some other reservations for the feedback thread......

Love the joggers, great for mornings around the camp site and now around the house! Also loved the air freshener, made the journey home with my non-RIP buddy in the back a little more bearable :p This was my first year in RIP and I will be returning!

I was pretty pleased with it as i never used the ear plugs or eye mask normally and usually remember to bring a toothbrush already. only thing i did miss this year was the backpack tho - is handy for the arena.

My two 17 year old girls thought it was very good this year as did i. The joggers gave me something nice and warm to sleep in.

Well I'm sat here in my joggers, tshirt and snood. The dog tag has been turned into a keyring accessory. The window sticker will go in my car (but you could put it up in a window in your house) as will the air-freshener. The programme and lanyard is always useful and nice souvenirs. The beer cooler has been added to my little collection (thanks for the latest one Wez!). I'm happy.

Wow, someone got out of their tent on the wrong side! Must have had funny shaped cans and bottles, 'cos our Coke, Bulmers and Bud all fit in the neoprene holders fine. T-shirt's great, joggers not necessarily for wearing out, but in the house they're perfect! Didn't realise you 'had' to use the air freshener in a car, I'm sure there are other places that might need to smell nice, other than a vehicle. Okay, the snood (don't like pink, or stuff tight round my neck!) and dog tag (allergic!) aren't particularly usable for me, but I appreciate them as souvenirs. Programme and lanyard also great (something to pass the time on the Thursday when stuck in the tent!). As first timers in RIP, the goodies were very exciting, and we liked them very much!
