Kuki I know, that there s a lot in terms and conditions. THe thing is, that it is a little bit strange, unfair, crazy - kicking out 5 people, who didn't caused any troubles, cooperate, didn't have any way to get home ( > 1000 km). Was it because only one of them could speak english? Because we were Polish? When some English burnt tents? Yeah, keep on telling, that racism is an issue in Poland!! Regardless of race, if you bring a knife to a festival they have the RIGHT to kick you out. Its there in black and white on the back of the ticket.

You were not in Poland, you are in this country so obey the rules you agreed to? Sucks you were kicked out but next time read things more carefully and never assume!

After reading everything that has been said, the only reason you've said you had it with you is because you wanted to cut sandwiches. Next time, I hope you/your friends think twice about bringing a knife to the UK. Meanwhile, for your sandwiches, let me introduce you to these bad boys:

Anyone else read this with a polish accent in their head? Or does that make me slightly racist?

You had a knife. There is no possible reason why you should have had a knife. I'm glad they ejected you from the site. If you're stupid enough to bring a knife to a festival, then who knows what else you are you going to do.

blivering idiot, taking anything that is sharp to a mass gathering of people, of course ye'd get hoy'ed out! jus think it could've been dramaticly worse if ya'd harmed anyone while waving that around. I kna the language barrier didn't help at all but still. it is printed on the back of the ticket, howay, get yer magnifying glass out and read!

It's actually a criminal offence to carry a knife of that type anywhere in the UK not just at a festival. You have to have a very good reason for having anything with a blade of more than 3inches ( there are some excemptions). The law requires an arrest in all but a very few circumstances and ignorance of the law is no excuse. Whenever I camp on private land or I'm on our holding I always have a Ka-Bar but would never dream of having it on me at any other time. I'm also very surprised you were allowed to bring it in on a flight.Air security is incredibly tight these days.

I walked through security scan at New ark liberty airport (New Jersey, USA) with some razor blades in my hand luggage - that was in july this year. They did not even ask me if I'm really the pilots barber

You bought the ticket, you are expected to follow the rules. Bringing a divers knife to a festival was just plain silly. The accusations of "Racism" are just trying to stir up rubbish. the police and security acted responsibly. If I saw someone with a divers knife I'd be worried of their intentions.

Rules are rules and it wad the fault if who ever brought the knife in, but I do think kicking them out when there was no proof it was used as a threat was a bit OTT.
