Hi everyone.
 
This year was my 5th year in RIP and as usual i had an awesome time. The only complaint i have is the fact that i had to move my tent as soon as the heavens opened on the wednesday. Because we were parked next to a massive bush we had to re-position our car and other tents in our party to try and make room for our tent to go.
 
The reason for this was because it was causing an obstruction to a potential fire exit. Now before i complain i have to say that i completly agree with the reason why i had to move it. What annoyed me was the fact that the security/stewards told me that i was allowed to place my tent in the offending area (we were camped on the edge of the campsite next to a bush). After my pitch was okayed by the stewards i unpacked my tent and laid it out and proceeded to insert the poles and erect my tent. Meanwhile in the RIP area a van parks up behind my tent leaving sufficient space for a 'Road' to form. However, the same steward (who said my pitch was fine) starts to tell the van to slowly move closer to my tent. now, because that van was parked there the stewards started a new line of tents next to them, which... again, is understandable.
 
My complaint is the fact that the stewards allowed a new row to be formed with out the thought of any obstructions that may be caused and until a fellow camper complained, it seemed like the steward had no idea of where or how the fire exit lanes should be formed and where tents should be placed.
 
Maybe next year it could be an option to mark out path ways or something like that, or make the stewards aware of the fire lanes so if it is pissing down with rain people don't have to take down their tent and move it.

My first RIP & I have to say that the 1am noise curfew was not adhered too where I was for 3 of the 5 nights. However, on informing L/N - this was looked into & the last night was fine.
If people want to stay up all night laughing & shouting - stay in standard !!!!
 

The problem with water is it has a mind of its own I swear !  once it decides to go one way then that is the way it is going... The situation was a 'moving' problem thru out the campsites... on the spot decissions changed to suit the conditions.
We had the same problem and had to move to another field completely. New home was great tho :)

We kind of stood and watched at the time like "what the hell is that?!?!?"

Still very very painful. Especially now the alcohol has worn off :( Was good to meet you too!!!!
