How do you die from a punch? Just a freak hit?

quite easily.  especially if you fall like a sack of **** and bounce your head off of the floor.  Even without falling - it still is blunt trauma to the skull and could easily cause severe brain damage... imagine your brain rattling around like a peanut inside your skull....

If the Czech's really thought he had committed manslaughter, surely they would have had him extradited from the US? Or at least attempted to?

Also, a punch can quite easily kill someone, as cmatt says, blunt force trauma.

Apparently so, though when TUI beat the **** out of their fan and left him on the floor it was online nearly right away, so I'm calling BS on the manslaughter thing [:P]

Details still very shady. It appears as if the fan got into an altercation with Blythe on stage and was struck in the head, which caused severe head trauma. However, there are apparently plenty of videos of the show in question, not one showing the "incident" and there was no altercation reported at the time of the show.
 
Basically, I'm leaning towards bullshit here.

Adrenaline PR, LoG's PR firm have  released a statement saying Blythe is wrongfully accused and will be fully exonerated.

Has the fan only just died, or is it just the first time Lamb of God have been in Czech Republic since the incident? If he's had a warrant out for his arrest, then that could explain why it's only just happened. It's not always as simple as just extraditing someone.

News would surely have broken about it before though? A fan dying at a show after being punched by the band he went to see would have been big news, no matter where it happened.

A decent sized professional boxer can punch at about 1300lbs per square inch of pressure. Even an untrained adult male can easily do half that. Though most serious injuries happen when the person falls and hit their head on a hard surface.

I kind of meant it as in it's no news that Blythe can be an aggressive tit at times.
