The Rolling Stones - Hyde Park July - 14 March 2013 08:50
The Rolling Stones did so well with their New York shows, you can expect them back to work shortly. I can tell you exclusively that the Stones will play two shows in London’s Hyde Park. The likely dates are July 6th and July 13th. (I guess it will take one week to clean up between shows.) The Stones are also confirmed for 18 U.S. arenas. The tour is supposed to start on the West Coast, maybe in Vancouver.

And: the rumors about Glastonbury are apparently true as well. My sources say it’s a go. The festival runs June 26 to the 30th.

In the East, Philadelphia has been set. The big question mark is New York: whether to wrap it all up in Madison Square Garden or at MetLife (formerly Giants) Stadium. It would seem appropriate for the final US Rolling Stones shows to be at MSG. It’s just all about the money. Australian Paul Dainty is promoting the arenas for Richard Branson and Virgin Live. AEG Live has the London shows.
The next questions will be guest stars, opening acts, etc. And ticket prices should be absolutely off the wall.

Even though I'll see 'em at Glasto, I'll probably try for a London date as well, price dependent.

Was obvious this would happen after their New York/Jersey shows.

Interested to see the ticket prices. I really would like to see them once, but if too over the top will just have to leave it well alone.

What's everyone's guesses for the Hyde Park prices. My first thought is somewhere between £60 and £70.

It's the Stones so it's not gonna be normal rate, probably about £100+ I imagine which may be hard to justify for many people

See I would pay 100 or so for the Stone. I mean, they are living legends, been through it all, and still seem to put a pretty good show on. I wasn't and couldn't afford 400+ for Wembley, but this I could do.

starting prices £100+
I can see all kinds of circle tickets going £200+, £300+, and the rest special packages.

Bon jovi prices are £65, £100 & £150 for standard/circle and they are playing everywhere, the stones i can see being close to double, and the gaps getting bigger for the higher value tickets

nah.
Seen them. Enjoyed them. But not again at the prices i expect.

The Rolling Stones will mount an 18-show arena tour in May and June with AEG Live according to Pollstar. Expect UK dates to be announced early April.

I've read Rolling Stones and Prince for Hyde Park shows. Nothing concrete though.

Will the Stones sell out as fast as last time, do people reckon? A load of touts ended up out of pocket as they had to undersell the tickets - some had the £315 top price ones and were selling them for £250 on the last dates - and demand will be significantly lower as its a longer tour (a lot of people will see them at Glastonbury, and the international audience will flock to the US arena tours).

But its still the Rolling Stones so I'd still believe it could sell out.

I'm dying to get tickets if I can.

I think you could struggle to get tickets from official outlets if you dont buy immediately they go on sale.

The key factor will be whether they announce other uk dates, and if so are they before or on same date as hyde park. If they announce hyde park first then its a lock for a sell out i reckon.

That said i think the secondary market will be absolutely flooded by touts, so the chances of getting a ticket at a good price right before the gig will be excellent.

Glastonbury will not soak up much of the demand at all, very few people go to glastonbury for one band, its just too damn difficult to organise, and you need to do it before most tickets (except returns) go on sale. You go knowing they will be big bands and accept who you get.
