I was very impressed with the Mission last night and came away thinking i just have to see them do their own show. This morning bought 2 cds online..

Wayne said they would be back, i presume same venue next december with another 'package' bill'. I intend to be there but its a shame its not sooner after last night.

The cult remain good, and the new stuff came over better live than record, and i enjoyed it. Was it the best show i've seen them doing in 25 years? No, but it was one of the better ones in the last decade.

Brum curfew is 10pm, an hour earlier than normal because its a club night

So 7 isnt going to cut it i think , everything is pointing to Mission on at 6.30, an hour adjustment the times above.

Can anyone confirm running times from Manchester last night or other gigs this week.
Going to brum and sat is 10 pm curfew going to struggle get by 7.00 worried when mission will be on

We got there for about 7:40 ish and The Mission were already playing. I could get into The Mission. God knows what was going on with their singer. I don't do foot ball but he had a Liverpool strip laid over the amp and then at the end of the set sang "you'll never walk alone". It's amassing that stunt didn't cause a riot!

The Cult were ace. They seamed really into it. But the sound really let them down. The rhythm guitarist may as well have been there. And there was no "Eden". Overall I'd give it 7/10.

Sounds like a good gig if not exceptional

was it 11 curfew?

Just seen in Kerrang Gun have replaced Killing Joke. I don't mind them but it's a bit of an odd choice. Hardly the huge package tour now is it?

According to Gun's website they are playing Glasgow with the cult, and paris.

however it makes no reference of the other dates - shame i would have liked to see them at birmingham , but they are playing ipswich that day

if the glasgow show hadnt sold out , gun might shift some scottish tickets i suppose

Today it's been confirmed that Killing Joke won't be replaced and the other two bands will be playing longer sets instead. Result!

As usual just keep checking back and more tickets often released nearer the time as they sort out production/promotion holds. As with any gig always worth doing

I'm guessing Jaz is a bit miffed the fact the band/someone announced they'd be doing a very expensive studio show with meet and greets - which is something he attacked The Cult for doing I believe?

Either way, this isn't really all that surprising, Jaz has always been an absolute nutter, and has always spoken his mind and been very opinionated, I'm guessing there's some real disagreements in the band on how things are going.
