REVIEW FROM OUR SET AT DOWNLOAD 2012

Next to grace the stage of the country’s premier rock festival, Allerjen liven the rain ridden crowd up with their years of experience and rather happy looking faces.

The band bring forward a mix of death metal and a touch of melody with tracks from new album Equilibrium resulting in a tent full of metal horns. Taking no prisoners the band stalk the stage almost daring the audience not to bang their heads from the word go.

With shreds so vicious that they make Cannibal Corpse look like a wedding band, Allerjen’s sublime energy really pushes the takeover up a notch or three when they launch into Treachery Be Thy Name, mid song high fives included.

Having already played at festivals such as Damnation, frontman John Dower uses his honed skills to barge the crowd into a frenzy in what is sure to be one of the bands career highlights.

“It was the best gig I’ve ever played,” said Dower after the set. “Truly a great day for us.”

We are Allerjen, a 4-piece band from Manchester. In the past, we have opened the main stage for the first ever Damnation Festival, Sunday 16th October 2005.
