Cabin In the Woods - 6/10 - a few parts that made me jump, and some laugh out loud moments, but it's not a great film. Twist wasn't great, IMO. It felt inevitable that something like that would happen.

Jamie_Kinman Monsters Inc. Best Disney film in recent years apart from Toy Story 3. You seen UP? Would say that and Toy Story 3 are my favourite Pixar films.

Eden Lake - 2/10. A rather repulsive film with few redeeming qualities. In Time - 6/10. Good concept but a bit too slow.

Cabin In The Woods: Total bonkers brilliance! There will never be another film like it, great fun and a total love-letter to the horror genre! Watching this back to back with Scream when it's out on DVD! 10/10

Battleship - 08/10 Really good film. Fun to watch. And Rihanna wasn't that bad actually.

The Muppets - 5/10 Bit self indulgent at times. The Muppet heavy parts were great, the Jason Segel parts most definitely weren't. Didn't like any of the songs, though I'm not a fan of musicals. Some of it was genuinely funny and took me back to me childhood though, decent enough, it's what i'd call an "Average" film so deserves the average score

Sherlock Holmes 2 - 7/10 I loved the first one but the second lost some of it's sparkle and seemed a bit slow at times. There are some quality scenes though with some great camera work and plenty of jokes.

I watched a film on Sunday called 'The Last Exorcism' I thought it would be amazing, it was good BUT the ending was awful. I didn't actually understand it. Anyone else seen it? Not the exorcism of Emily Rose, everyone else I have spoken to thought it was that! It was made in 2010!

Aye I've seen The Last Exorcism, that's the one that's filmed like a documentary aye? I thought it was alright, had some decent tension, but was pretty predicatable and had a suitably silly ending.

Pontypool, 8/10 got told it's not what you expect and it wasn't, but then again I was expecting a low budget Welsh movie The Muppets 9/10 awesome... Can't find fault with it... Maybe could have had more muppets though! Pandorum 5/10 starts off with a quite interesting atmosphere, taught, tense than devolves into run of the mill running away movie, with a very unsurprising 'twist'. I'm not sure, I think there were supposed to be others but they really didn't make it that clear

Lockout - 6/10 Good mindless bit of nonsense futuristic action. It's quite terrifying at times how much Guy Pearce resembles Mark Wahlberg in this film. Enjoyable enough, but even though I was watching a film about space prisons, I found myself saying at times "No... that's just far too over the top" Avengers Assemble - 10/10 Was lucky enough to get a freebie to last nights regional premiere. If it were possible to give this more than 10/10 I would. Absolutely loved it, fantastic action, great dialogue, just a thoroughly enjoyable 2hrs 20mins. I thought Loki would be a terrible villain after watching Thor (and not enjoying it as much as the other Avengers movies) but I was proven wrong. Anyone bemoaning the lack of Ed Norton before watching this will come out saying "Ed who?!." Ruffalo is superb and brings a lot more depth to Hulk. More than just another yawnfest ensemble piece, this is arguably the best of the whole Avengers universe films, honestly cannot recommend it enough!!
Loner Vet 08-10!
