To be fair, I saw Jurassic Park at a cinema 3 months ago with Lizzie.. Was amazing!

The Cabin in the Woods = 4/10
Would have made for a much better video game I suppose. Though the dude being waterboarded onscreen by means of a vomiting zombie was extremely hilarious.

That's being generous. Fucking awful film. Has absolutely no plot in the slightest. I knew it was going to be pretty bad before watching but damn.

I think those films went down hill after resident evil 2, i wish they would reboot the films as they could be made into something great for horror fans.

Nice, I reckon you'll enjoy it, swell film. Do you know of any recent Asian films of the I Saw The Devil/The Chaser/Tale of Two Sisters variety? They seemed to have dried up a bit/I've seen all the good ones, same with the French gorefests.

Nah, it's bloody grim isn't it? I want an endless supply of Korean revenge films! There's one by the guy who did the Chaser called "The Yellow Sea" if you haven't watched it? Haven't seen it myself, but will be now, got some good reviews.

There's also a film by the dude who did [REC] called "Sleep Tight" which sounds interesting.

 
I've got Sleep Tight on the hard drive, will watch that soon and will also get ahold of The Yellow Sea. But aye, moar Korean revenge films naow!
 
Dread - 6/10. Decent horror based on a Clive Barker short.

Dead Man Shoes - 8/10
Great film, little disturbing at times. 

Dredd - 7/10
Was basically the exact same story as The Raid, but with guns instead of martial arts. Really enjoyed it though, solid action film.
 
House of 1000 Corpses - 7/10 
Bloody weird film, enjoyable though, although Zombie's love of using stupid filters gets on my tits.
 
Psycho (original)  - 9/10
Classic, nothing more needs to be said.

American Gangster - 9/10 - Superb film, hadn't seen it for a while and forgot how good it is; Denzel Washington brilliant as usual.

I will join in on the Dead Man's Shoes love-in, what a great film.
 
 

Take Shelter = 5/10
Michael Shannon did pretty well here, I rate him more so as an actor in fact after watching this. Everyone else seemed uninteresting and to a degree forgettable.


Texas Chainsaw Massacre - 9.5/10 
Classic, my favourite horror film ever.
 
The Cabin in the Woods - 7/10
Wasn't expecting much but it was a bunch of laughs, definitely wasn't what I was expecting.

Anyway Lawless - 8.5/10
 
As mentioned a good story with some powerful violence. Effective, gruesome and never really gratiutous. Loved Hardy's character (as in geuninely disappointed that I couldn't share it with people I know who would love it but wouldn't like the violence) and Shia got past a couple of early wobbles to put in a good performance. Pearce's character goes right on the "most despicable ****" list too. I love the Proposition, really enjoyed this so need to check out The Road soon.

Old Boy- 9/10: Yeah, worth watching.
 
Contraband 7/10: Anyone else noticed that most if not all marky marks films are similar?
 
Identity 8/10: good film, short and sweet.
 
Suicide Kings 8/10: Love this film cant figure why but always enjoy watching it.

Sleep Tight - 8/10
