They do seem to adapt the books at random (in terms of which books they adapt), on the other hand, another adaptation

Still an absolute laugh though.

I could honestly not pick my favourite book or character! There are just too many to list. I'm currently reading Thief of Time and absolutely love Lu-Tze. My favourite movie adaptation is a draw between The Hogfather and Going Postal. I liked Colour of Magic but it just wasn't as good. I'm really hoping they'll make a Night Watch adaptation someday, if I had to pick a favourite set of books from the Discworld I would [reluctantly] pick these.

I used to love the discworld games, have them both on my iphone, as well as some of the classic lucasarts games. Anyway, I digress, Good Omens is my favourite Pratchett book, Crowley is a legend

I started reading Pratchett when I was abou 9/10. Nicked 'Maskerade' off of my big brother's bookshelf 'cause I liked the title. My fave books are the Watch. I love Vimes and Vetanari. I adore the Witches books, especially for the little (well, usually massive) nods to other literary works. Rincewind and Death are also awesome. I did really like Nation, although a lot of it didn't really feel like Pratchett. I was unimpressed with Unseen Academicals but I'll give it another chance soon...

Just finished Snuff, loved Willikins in it and Vimes was as awesome as usual but...just didn't feel it quite wrapped up a number of subplots. Hopefully (unlikely given real world considerations ) we'll get another book or two elaborating on the whole goblin thing.

Favourite book, probably Small Gods, but I love the watch books as well and thus my favourite character is Vimes (predictable), I even laugh at the Vimesisms, which is really out of character for me. Now to read the rest of the thread rather than just looking at the first entry.

Had no idea they were planning more TV adaptations. If they're still doing Unseen i'll give it a watch, didn't think the others were as good as they could have been though. Would love to see a movie adaptation of Guards Guards (and hopefully a watch franchise) so long as it was done well with a decent budget. Would go with Duncan Jones directing, Jane Goldman and Neil Gaiman scripting, Clive Owen as Vimes, Mark Addy as Colon, Armie Hammer as Carrot, Danny Dyer as Nobby, Rufus Sewell as Vetinari, Ruth Jones as Sybil and Shane Ritchie as CMOT Dibbler. Sorry went into fanboy dream cast territory there. Really hope Terry can manage a couple more, I want to see Moist's arc finished and him maybe ending with Vetinari's Ankh-Morpork project being completed (maybe Vetinari dying at the end and leaving us on a cliffhanger).

Moist's will def be finished - Raising Taxes has been inteh works for a while. Not sure when the next Discworld will be out though with the Long earth project that's beign worked on.
