Synfection So you'd be happy for a player to be charged for using offensive language regardless of the context? In a denial or as a quote for example? If the language in question has racial overtones which this scenario it did then yes. Doesn't matter if Terry was being sarcastic or not, he shouldn't have said it in the first place. If not because its inappropriate, then at least to save confusion and avoidable long running court saga's wasting the tax payers money.

The FA don't need legal levels of proof though, look at Suarez. Even so, you cannot ignore the context. Context in these issues are EVERYTHING!

Synfection Also, if Rio is prepared to make racial jibes (public, un-obstructed and in writing) what were his motives in pushing his P.R team to get involved with this case? Clearly racism isn't the issue to him. Lets see how much coverage this gets It'll get next to no coverage, don't worry.

Synfection Wow. Choc Ice = Black on the outside, white on the inside. ****ing idiots. How dare Ash testify in court. Also, if Rio is prepared to make racial jibes (public, un-obstructed and in writing) what were his motives in pushing his P.R team to get involved with this case? Clearly racism isn't the issue to him. Lets see how much coverage this gets Unless I'm missing something, Rio isn't making the jibes here, he's just laughing with them.

...and if John Terry laughed at and quoted a jibe like that on Twitter, what do you think would happen? And you would be at the front of the line to condemn him.

Yeah, Rio is laughing at a racist term there. If he was so anti-racism, he'd certainly not be laughing at it. Ahh racism. It's completely fine when you're the black man.

You've got to question the true motives of his management getting involved (it seems Anton was the puppet as he didn't want to be there) with the case if he is happy to laugh at racist jibes, very publicly, himself. The response is interesting though. Two papers carry the story, one of them only use it to take a swipe at Ashley Cole's statement which was made while he was flying to Seattle. On the other hand, John Terry has had six months of damning headlines. Double standards might be too much, but I can definitely see a major imbalance.

He's attempted to pass it off as a slang term this morning. As I've just mentioned on twitter, nigga is also a slang term. Doesn't make its use acceptable.

The saddest thing of the whole affair is that Stephen Lawrenson's Mum came to each day of the court hearing. She was strung along by the whole thing. She has had to deal with some of the most tragic things a parent could possibly deal with. This case was a million miles away from the horrific things that happened to her son and it appears the Ferdinand family didn't actually have racism in mind in this case. In the most famous son of the Ferdinand family seems happy to endorse racist comments himself.

http://www1.skysports.com...helsea-end-Oscar-talks Bit suprised to read that but oh well, Dont think the deal is dead as there is still reports saying chelsea made a bid which was close to being accepted so who knows. Will be very annoyed if we dont make another decent signing like hazard but looking like hulk/maicon and modric is far from happening. So happy its not long till i get to watch my team play again!

FFS. Going to take that with a pinch of salt. So much for Sky Sources, report the complete opposite story twice in one day. Wasn't sold at first, but looking in more detail, he seems to just be coming out of his shell. Linked up very well with Hulk in the Brazil side against Argentina. Hulk has to be the priority here on in.

Azpillcueta (HOPEFULLY), Oscar very welcome additions. We'll need one more established player for the front line and we're done. Hopefully Hulk or Cavani, although I can't see it being done until deadline day.

4-2 is a decent-ish result, but we can't go conceding two goals against Seattle. I put this down to the defence being depleted more than anything. Good to see Hazard, Marin, Lukaku on the score sheets.

well to be fair only 2 players who started cl final were on when we conceded, first game together ever for some, hilario was crap till end of first half and seatle are half way through there season so they should of been in better form, but only a freindly anyway, paulo.f was ****. josh gave them a goal and i still believe ivanovic is a axe wielding serial killer on his days off.
