I tried to post in here yesterday but apparently it didn't work. Kings in 5 for me. Would have said that before last night as well. Still rueing the fact I didn't bet on them after I had a 'feeling' within two games of the post-season. Odds still would have been pretty decent then.

Kings to win. Anyways to British Ice Hockey, what do we think of the elite league going into 2 divisions? From an outside perspective, think the league isn't big enough to go into 2 divisions really and doesn't push through the british talent which should really be aimed at by raising the number of imports. By the way any Hull fans, you will be delighted with Ben Bowns and Ozolins, best NM and Import in the EPL last year.

So the Kings are the 2012 Stanley Cup Champions. Completely deserved, Best team in the playoffs by some distance. On to next season. I'm expecting another repeat from the Canucks, we'll go to the playoffs and **** the bed again I'd like to see Schneider's games upped in his rotation with Luongo and I'd probably start him every playoff game. We recruit pretty well so we'll see what happens, not sure what we'll take in the draft but I'd like to see a solid defender because for all the offensive talent we have our defense has a tendency to disappear. We've already signed Alex Friesen from the OHL. He was drafted by us in 2010 but didn't sign, I guess he's developed a bit more now. Supposedly he's a small but very tough center.

Well done Kings. Totally deserved Stanley Cup. Not a classic final but I still felt chills watching them lift the cup, there really is nothing else like it in sport. Great montage of the play-offs here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwkDjipvanU Still gutted I didn't put money on Kings when I first thought they'd win. Goddamnit! Raufera7 Kings to win. I've written a blog about my feelings on the EIHL conference system (I'll the post the link here later when it's gone up). I think it's got good and bad points, probably not a great plan overall but something had to change and short of reorganising the whole financial system which was never going to happen, I suppose at least they've done something. Completely unbalanced conferences though. More like divisions. Yes I agree great signings for Hull. Not sure how they will fare this year, will be interesting to see. So honestly, how likely do we think this NHL lockout is?

Kings had far more about them than Devils, hopefully a team formed in '67 will force us to make a push, and win our first since they formed ('67) TML

2012-13 Shedules released! Anybody plan on going to any games? I'm planning on going to Penguins @ Rangers - 3 April 2013, Lightning @ Islanders 6 April 2013 and Leafs @ Rangers 10 April 2013. Finally, I haven't seen Tampa since the 2004 Stanley Cup finals. So very excited!

Shame to see Staal traded to Carolina, but I hope rumours are true and were making a push for Parise.

I am still half thinking about an NY/Toronto trip in October/November so hoping to go to at least 2 games in each city - however until the CBA is sorted I'm not making any plans, rumours are there could be a lockout for at least a couple of months which would suck hugely. I loved the draft, something really special about watching young kids' lives change before our very eyes. Rangers picked up what appear to be a couple of good prospects as did the Flames. Disappointed to hear Prust may not be back for the Rangers Disputes with management over his wage. I'd give him what he's asking, it's not much more and he was paid low last season, he's part of the heart and soul of the team.

off to Calgary and Toronto next October, so I have to wait for that, hopefully get to 2 leafs games (if I'm lucky) and maybe a Flames game too so where does everyone think Parise and Sutter are going? personally, I'd like to see us sign Semin, sort out our 2nd line, and make this assumed move for Luongo, to break Reimer in better since our no.2 is no Ryynas/Scrivens Semin Lupul Kessel Grabo Connely JVR not bothered about the other two lines, I'm sure

This close season has been rubbish for my teams so far! Losing Brandon Prust to Montreal really hurts. My 2nd favourite Ranger, and to a team I can't stand. And instead we sign Asham - who I can't stand. No major moves yet although it looks as though we are the top team in line to land Nash which would be good I guess. The Flames are behaving ridiculously. They are going to be hopeless this season if they don't pull their socks up soon. I think Parise will stay put. Suter I have no idea - I wish they'd make their minds up though!! I can definitely see Luongo going to Toronto. Disappointed Schultz chose the Oilers - that team are going to be unbeatable in a couple of years' time. In the Elite League the top teams have picked up a few guys of serious quality this year - loads of AHL experience and even some NHL. Plus Mike Danton - a character with a very interesting past who used to be a NHL player before he went to prison. Very interesting story - check him out on Wikipedia if you have a chance.

Nash to NYR - interested to see how that one turns out. We needed scoring, let's hope he can bring it. Lost Dubi though, it could have been worse but I am a fan of his. I think we have one or two moves left up our sleeve - building a really strong side for another shot at the cup! Let's just hope there's no lockout [:l] I'm missing hockey enough as it is and there's still over 2 months to go, if it's longer than that I will NOT be happy! Sort it out!

I'm surprised Vancouver will let luongo leave to be honest. Nash will be a good move for rangers. I'm hoping sabres will have a better season this year.

I think Sabres will have a decent season. NHL lockout looking increasingly likely though Sort it out!! I'm feeling quite out of touch with hockey. I always pine for it in June/July. But what with the Olympics it all feels very far away. Less than a month until the Elite League opens so something to look forward to! And 2 months until my adventure with the Belfast Giants to Germany - excited!
