Rush would probably be a better bet for Hard Rock Calling or High Voltage, at least if the latter returns next year. Both have allowed headliners to do very long sets in the past at least.

just on the rammstein thing, if (and it is a big if) they do play a british fest next year it wont be soni. if there is a soni it is about 90% certain that maiden will headline it and i dont think for a second they would be able to get away with the same two headliners again so soon, no matter how popular they are. that leaves download. all that said, i am not holding my breath, but them and van halen would be ticket bought!

in an ideal world, it would be NIN, AIC ( once their next album goes stratospheric ), and a reformed Pink Floyd. Thse 3 should sell it out

Foo Fighters - Rammstein - Slipknot or Blink 182 - Iron Maiden - Rammstein or R-A-T-M - Rammstein - Muse or Green Day - Guns 'n Roses - Slipknot All possible headliners, maybe wrongly grouped as headliners but all would sell out!! Pick and mix !!!!

i think rush would be an amazing headliner, just balance it with a modern metal headliner on the other day.

I love Rammstein, but to be honest I don't think their outdoor festival shows are as good, better seeing them at their own dates where they don't need to cut stuff back. Still a fanstastic headliner mind and better than most!

Haha, okay pal. Though I'd imagine almost everyone who has seen Muse would disagree seeing as they are one of the best British live bands about.

Depeche Mode are touring next year. I think a rock festival should book 'em. Something awesome and different.

I'd like to think Maiden are due, if they are up for fests and there is no Soni to compete with for me they would be a no-brainer. In terms of a newish band being handed the chance to step up, A7X would fit the bill more so than anyone else around if the next album does well, or if the other two headliners are reliably huge/majority placating. For the third I'd like Van Halen or Foo's equally, but wouldn't be suprised if Andy would think VH are too unreliable and Foo's aren't in europe.
