Alive & Remain are an alternative metal band from Swansea, South Wales. Previously named ‘Anger’, the four-piece first got together in the summer of 2010 and began writing original material. Within a year Anger had written a full length album worth of music and had gigged around Swansea and other areas of South Wales.

In late 2011, the band recorded demos of their songs to prepare for recording ...an album. As some of the songs varied in style, Anger crafted at the songs which worked better for the band to develop a solid, consistent sound of a heavy, stomping rhythm section, with melodic lead vocals and guitars.

The band, consisting of Gergő Daróczi (Vocals/Rhythm guitar), Matt Angelow (Lead guitar), Jake Bowen (Bass) and Tom Williams (Drums), opted to change the band name as well as dropping some earlier songs which did not work with the new material. ‘Alive & Remain’ was adopted from the book title “We Who Are Alive and Remain”.

With new songs and a new sound, 2012 sees a new band ‘Alive & Remain.’
