2010 Lineup - 14 May 2009 21:58 ( #1 )
Couldn't find another thread in search. I know this is early but the bands have started to be booked for next year and this year's lineup is pretty much finished. Ok keep these fairly realistic.. i.e. band orders should be about right and the festival shouldnt contain a bigger lineup than say what Reading Festival can get. This should be what you would aim for if you were to book this festival. This isn't my fave lineup but I think it would work well for download 2010:

Placebo
Avenged Sevenfold
HIM
Fear Factory
Alexisonfire
Skindred
The Haunted

Second

Bullet For My Valentine
Nightwish

I doubt they'd afford all 3 of those headliners but would be cool
a lot of those bands aren't my cup of tea though

Yeah I sort of agree... I can see it being a similar price to Tool, Metallica and Guns N Roses though.. and with a sell out this year looking likely they should be able to afford it.. especially if they increase the capacity for next year.

who knows what'll happen though eh
I have a feeling Rammstein will be one headliner though, what with a new album out later this year and a long overdue festival appearance here

Hmmm... yeah I agree.
I'm starting to think maybe AC/DC as well that's if Reading don't get them.
That would be one hell of a line up and I expect they can afford more expensive bands next year.

I just had a thought, what about Green Day? Or do you think they're too much of a 'Reading' band?

Nah I agree with you there....

They're a band that deserve the head-lining position :)
They would fit very well at Download or Reading/Leeds... just not Blodstock :P

And they would sell a hell of a lot tickets, personally I'm suprised they are not playing Reading this year.

Yeah

If their new album release date was on the 15.04.09 instead of 15.05.09 (today) then I think they would have played Reading/Leeds

Well the fact the two bands are getting on atm means it could happen.. Dave Mustaine was even invited to Metallica's hall of fame induction.. surprised you havent heard anything bout this it's been pretty big news

I'm having trouble deciding whether they will do Reading, V, Sonisphere or Download next year... if they do Download then they will prob do Saturday with Tallica or AC/DC for Sunday (most likely Tallica)

a few bad clashes and some bands I couldn't bring myself to see. But that's what second stage is for isn't it? Anyway, great lineup!
