2010 Lineup
-
14 May 2009 21:58
( #1 )
Couldn't find another thread in search. I know this is early but the bands have started to be booked for next year and this year's lineup is pretty much finished. Ok keep these fairly realistic.. i.e. band orders should be about right and the festival shouldnt contain a bigger lineup than say what Reading Festival can get. This should be what you would aim for if you were to book this festival. This isn't my fave lineup but I think it would work well for download 2010: Friday Main Rammstein Placebo Avenged Sevenfold HIM Fear Factory Alexisonfire Skindred The Haunted Second Bullet For My Valentine Nightwish Lamb of God Carcass 36 Crazyfists Thursday As I Lay Dying Concerto for Constantine Future of the Left Saturday Main Metallica Queens of the Stone Age Feeder Megadeth Alice in Chains Taking Back Sunday Mastodon The Wildhearts Testament Anti-Flag Second Funeral For A Friend Airbourne Cradle of Filth Soulfly The Blackout Underoath Marmaduke Duke Helmet Every Time I Die In Case of Fire Succioperro The Sword Sunday Main AC/DC Heaven and Hell Deftones Slayer Alter Bridge Enter Shikari Less Than Jake The Answer Thrice Cancer Bats Second Brand New AFI Bowling For Soup Arch Enemy Porcupine Tree Hundred Reasons Unearth The Dillinger Escape plan Shadows Fall Manchester Orchestra Amplifier Exit Ten

I doubt they'd afford all 3 of those headliners but would be cool a lot of those bands aren't my cup of tea though

I can see it being a similar price to Tool, Metallica and Guns N Roses though.. and with a sell out this year looking likely they should be able to afford it.. especially if they increase the capacity for next year.

who knows what'll happen though eh I have a feeling Rammstein will be one headliner though, what with a new album out later this year and a long overdue festival appearance here

I'm starting to think maybe AC/DC as well that's if Reading don't get them. That would be one hell of a line up and I expect they can afford more expensive bands next year.

I just had a thought, what about Green Day? Or do you think they're too much of a 'Reading' band?

Yeah If their new album release date was on the 15.04.09 instead of 15.05.09 (today) then I think they would have played Reading/Leeds

ORIGINAL: DrummerDan92 Megadeth and Metallica playing on the same stage as each other? Never in a million years lol Well the fact the two bands are getting on atm means it could happen.. Dave Mustaine was even invited to Metallica's hall of fame induction.. surprised you havent heard anything bout this it's been pretty big news ORIGINAL: Nichola92 I just had a thought, what about Green Day? Or do you think they're too much of a 'Reading' band? I'm having trouble deciding whether they will do Reading, V, Sonisphere or Download next year... if they do Download then they will prob do Saturday with Tallica or AC/DC for Sunday (most likely Tallica) ORIGINAL: b@nksy Great line up But seriously, ACDC and Brand New clash? Hate you the clash would annoy me also haha.. but no way I would miss Brand New

But that's what second stage is for isn't it? Anyway, great lineup!

Hetfield and Lars wanted him to attend, but him and Kirk hate ach other dont they? Mustaine was pissed off with him coz he took his job, and Kirk is pissed off wih him because Mustaine can play better than him lol
