Triaxis 17 October 2010 14:41 (permalink)

Triaxis are a British Heavy Metal band from Cardiff, Wales.

"A genuinely creative spark and passion... bringing to mind classic Priest, mid-era Megadeth and Testament, intricately woven together with a taught melodic thread"
ZERO TOLERANCE

"A big hit at this years Bloodstock Festival... far too good to languish in self-sufficient obscurity. A confident and charismatic debut. Vocalist Krissie has the range and melodic intelligence of Heart's Ann Wilson, but with more than a dash of Dio's dramatic power"
METAL HAMMER

In an age when so many bands come and go as they jump on the latest trend, Triaxis stand out as a bastion for timeless Heavy Metal. Memorable tunes, delivered with a passion and confidence that only a seasoned group of musicians can possess, have cemented their place at the head of the UK's resurgent Heavy Metal scene. Their EP Lord of the Northern Sky was released in August 2008 and has since sold out following its unprecedented and exceptionally positive reception from fans worldwide.

Following the success of their EP, Triaxis self-released their debut full-length album Key To The Kingdom in August 2009 to widespread critical acclaim, including plaudits from Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Zero Tolerance, and many other magazines - as well as glowing praise from many leading music websites. They have also made numerous radio appearances, including airplay on Bruce Dickinson's BBC Rock Show. Triaxis excel in live performance and have gigged across the UK, including a headline-grabbing set on the unsigned stage atBloodstock Open Air 2009.

Triaxis are currently writing new material due for release in 2011, and have been selected to join Canadian rockers 'Kobra and the Lotus' on their UK tour this winter. Triaxis are Krissie Kirby (Vocals), Glyn Williams (Lead Guitars), Clare ‘CJ’ Hale (Rhythm Guitars), Owen Crawford (Bass), Giles Wilson (Drums).

          Hey guys,

So after the Summer Tour, we upped sticks and headed to the studio to record the follow up to Key to the Kingdom. After 3 weeks we're now in the process of mixing and mastering the final product ready to release it on your ears early 2012.

However, we have a conundrum and we need the help of you wonderful people here.

We have a song that we've recorded for the new album and we've been gigging it under the nickname 'Rather Fast", we opened the name up to ideas on our Facebook page on what to officially call it. We've come down to three title options and now we'd like you to vote on what the official title should be. The choices are:

          Sand and Silver
          Fallen Messiah
          Origin of Hate

You can hear the song here:

          And you can vote here:

Voting is open until the witching hour of Hallowe'en night... mwahahahahahaha!

          So get voting!

Oh for some reason the forum didn't add in the links. How random!
Ah well a quick update as I've bee a little remiss in updating here, again....

The song title chosen by popular demand was Sand and Silver!  Alas because I haven't posted anywhere near enough yet I can't add link in :( but all our links should be at the top of the thread anyhow :)

We've been announced for a number of smaller festivals this year already, inlcuding SOS Fest in Manchester (July 20th), Rock'n'Wrestle Festival in Wakefiled (August4/5th) and we'll be sharing the stage with Blaze Bailey and Beholder at Basement Festival in Shropshire (August 17th)

More details will be coming soon on all of those and our Spring Tour that we are just finalising.  More details on the album soon, as well.
