"Seven Deadly Sins" by Corey Taylor

Anyone read this yet? I've only just started it, but it's definitely enjoyable thus far. The whole premise seems to be "Live life however you see fit, don't conform to religious/social rules or expectations" with a few entertaining anecdotes thrown in, so I guess it should be aimed at perhaps a different audience than those he is promoting it to. However, as Howard Marks said: The best advice for writing a bestseller is to write it with the wrong target audience in mind. I have no doubts that it will sell very well, and so it should (it's very well written, in my opinion), but I'm not sure it's going to change anyone's life. I'll report back with further musings once I've finished it.

very meh to me. Some of it I agreed with and I did like the little windows into his past and how if it wasnt for his wanton lust as a young lad he wouldnt have been in Slipknot but I found it very tedious to read towards the end and very repetative. I actually skim read alot of it after the first 6 chapters or so

It was decent, I wouldn't go further than that. Like 'Sambles' said the glimpses into his past is fairly cool but it didn't take a whole book to spell out what is a very simple message of 'Do what you like'. Still glad to say I've read it.
'Our loyalty was always firm, we kept our given word. On these Southern battlefields, our Northern war cries roared'

I thoroughly enjoyed the book, glimpses into his past, his non-conformist, no **** attitude! Live life as YOU want, brilliant ethos to live by. Although I must admit to skim reading a little towards the end but I would still recommend it!
