It's good to have to make sure you're not forgetting important stuff, which I tend to do a lot.

I have now created a downloadable PDF version of the guide, which will be updated as the guide is. The PDF is available in two formats, web quality and high quality and the links at the top of the guide (the first post in this thread), as well as in the Errata post (the second post in the thread). A new, much expanded version of the guide will be released before Download this year. Please let me know what needs to be added, expanded on etc. and if anything is now outdated, let me know. One thing I am interested in is the lockers. I have never used the lockers at Download Festival, so I have no knowledge to impart there. If anyone would like to write a review of the lockers to add into the guide, full thanks and acknowledgement will be given.

Re:Apache's Festival Survival Guide v2.1.1 [Important Update]

This guide has now changed location. But don't worry, we'll be back soon. I've taken an executive decision to remove this guide from the Download Forums on a temporary basis. Over years of editing and re-formatting, the post has become unmanageable with the current post editor that the forums use. I am planning a major update of the guide to be released shortly before Download Festival 2012, in which I will rewrite the post from the ground up to put an end to the bugs in the forum editor. I have set up a SkyDrive public folder for the project and I will to continue to update this thread when changes are made. Thank you all for your support with this guide, it really does mean a lot to me that all the work I have put into this guide continues to be helpful to people. Please help to spread word about this guide. The link to the SkyDrive Public Folder is http://goo.gl/DlRgi I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this causes but I hope to clean up the thread as soon as possible.

Monstar111 Sorry trying to get a guide for a friend was wondering how up to date this is... The latest version (2.1.1) of the guide was released on 10th April 2012. v2.1.2 will be written in the next week or so with some minor adjustments. Please see my signiture or the original post for weblinks to the guide and production site. A changelog is available on the production site as well as the second post in this thread.

Definitely worth a read before Download ^^, I think if more people read this, then there'd be a lot fewer questions on the forums.

This guide is for sensible people not idiots... it's the idiots who dont bother to read up before they go or remind themselves about what went wrong last year. It puts my feet back into reality. I've been festival-ling for over 25 years, but I get soooo excited I don't want anything to spoil my weekend (especially cos you spend so much money on it in the first place) I still find this guide useful to remind me "oh yeah been there!" & "remember that time when....?"
