Make Your Case For The Best/Worst Draft Pick Ever 08 April 2012 15:55 (permalink)
Healthy dose of conversation in here theses days, so here's a thread celebrating the best and indeed worst choices from draft picks involving the sports discussed in here.

I'll do mine later on, but for a prime example in bad draft picks, I give you the Portland Trailblazers...

Smith and (especially) Bayless are the worst example of sport broadcasters saying total pish in order to gain ratings, but they are entertaining.

GM's will always over value height in the NBA come draft time. See Kwame, Thabeet, Millicic...

Great pic of a good (if contraversial at the time) draft pick

I probably shouldn't bite, but why was it?

We needed a centre at the time to replace Big Ben Wallace, and Noah was coming out of college as part of one of the G.O.A.T front courts in college Basketball history, and a back to back NCAA Champion to boot (including the MVP award for the final four)

He would of gone top three at least if he had left college a year before, his pick was a no brainer.

Hard not to say Tim Couch or Akili Smith (1st and 3rd overall in the 1999 NFL draft), the other 5 top 7 picks all had great/are having careers. From the same draft you could say Ricky Williams to New Orleans, he had a good career but they traded ALL their picks (plus some of the year after's) for him and only had him 3 years when he was decent.

                  Bite?

Jesus Christ you're paranoid of late, you seem to think everything I post is trollbait when in fact none of it is.

It was contraversial at the time because his goofy demeanor meant he wasn't taken seriously. The doubts were not mine, were just tabloid blather and have long since been dispelled. Doesn't make the picture any less funny though.

Not a case of paranoia in the slightest. Considering what the thread is about, Jo doesn't make the cut, definitely not for the greatest but in no way for the worst in any shape or form either, especially as we took him at nine in the draft which considering his achievements in college, was a steal regardless of his character.

With that in mind, and considering his reputation amongst fans of other teams and the fact I'm the only (as far as I know) Bulls fan on here, I assumed you were on a WUM, that's all.
