Hey, long time no post.

Is there anyway now to change the editor you use when you post/reply/edit?

The WYSIWYG editor has some severe bugs and is very difficult to use when using some of the formatting features which were simple in the source editor the forum used to use. For long posts like my guide, it is getting increasingly difficult to edit and add new sections or change the formatting. Simple things like text colour, headings, ordered and unordered lists and text size seem to be buggy.

Is there a way to view the source of the message you are editing and change the BBCode that is added through the formatting buttons? Ideally I'd like to just use BBCode for formatting, but you can't in this WYSIWYG editor. Cheers for any help you can give, I may have missed something obvious but I've looked through all the menus and at all of the buttons and can't find anything.

Apache.

    Hey, sweetness.

You are correct, we do have some bugs in the system when it comes to the font colour, as you will see from the other post on the subject here.

The monkeys are working on it but the main resources are working on the main site at the moment.  When they get a mo, they've promised us they will have a look at it .

    Welcome back.

Cheers hun, I'm not sure how active I'll be on here, I'll probably just keep the guide updated. It'd be nice to catch up with some of the old guard soon though.

As a suggestion/request to the WebDevs, it'd be nice to have TinyMCE's "code" toolbar button activated so we can edit the source of the message. Or, alternatively, an mceToggleEditor button added.
      <a href="#" onclick="tinyMCE.execCommand('mceToggleEditor',false,'texarea_id');">[Toggle WYSIWYG]</a>
      Other bugs I've noticed are:
      • Unordered and Ordered Lists do not terminate properly.
      • Font Family does not terminate properly.
      • Text Alignment persists through CrLf, even when aligning only selected text.
      • KNOWN: Text colour bbcode does not terminate properly and extra elements are added to post.
