It has to be AC/DC for me this year. I was not a real fan, even though my band plays a couple of their songs. BUT when I saw them live - I was hooked - loved them. Slash - he was brill.

My first ever festival, got there on Friday afternoon after having to do a maths exam in the morning. I remember getting into the arena just as Unearth where finishing there set and being able to get into the crowd just in time for 36 Crazyfists, who where one of my favorite bands at the time. Main stage Saturday was amazing too, so many great bands, one after another. RATM just blew me away too, the atmosphere in the crowd during there set down the front was just fantastic. Still, having to leave on the Sunday evening because I was ill due to the rain and missing Stone Sour was gutting.

2nd Download for me. 3rd this year. Highlights have gotta be: - AC/DC - first time I'd seen them and they did not disappoint.
- Five Finger Death Punch - never heard of them before but they were excellent (dude).
- Rage Against The Machine - so intense and so good, the four of them just stood in a circle on the stage. Shame they didn't play "The Ghost of Tom Joad" though, being a big Springsteen fan I love the song and their version rocks. That Tom Morello can play the guitar, can't he?
- Airborne - although I was sure he was gonna fall off, that scaffolding must've been slippery in the rain!
- Cinderella - I always thought they were a bit of a joke band but the person I was with wanted to go see them, so I did and was surprised to find that I loved them!
The lowlight has gotta be Aerosmith - such an arrogant show. It's all very well doing 10-minute blues jams, we're all impressed you can do that, but at the end of the show I was counting in my head the songs they could have played instead of showing off. And the sound quality on the main stage, it was like listening to a radio underwater!

Arriving late on the friday after my mate forgot his airbed (wimp). and seeing DC, of course. Going to the urinals only to find a woman sitting in the next urinal! Saturday: pleasantly surprised by We Are Then Fallen. 5 finger's invite, bouncing on top of the crowd for RATM whilst my girfriend got herself a tattoo! Sunday: raosting in the early sun whilst watching Cinderella (the first band I saw live), then getting soaked all day to the point where every time I took a swig from my beer it filled up again, but finding some soaked beer tokens and buying bottles of wine ( =no rain) and finally getting to see/hear the might 'smith.........Dream On!
