Boardie Takeover returns for 2012
 
The Boardie Takeover blasts into The Doghouse as the Download Festival celebrates it's 10th Year.
 
In the best tradition of bringing the best of the Boards to the Download Festival, four bands and two DJ's will bring the noise to the Village on Thursday 7th June.
 
Rising from the Ashes of Panic Cell Seven Deadly fuse raw energy and metal, they are a band armed and ready to explode onto the music scene in 2012 and beyond.
 
Since releasing their debut single and music video "From This Darkness" earlier this year, Seven Deadly have caught the attention of the press and industry, bagging "Track Of The Day" in Classic Rock magazine for debut song "From This Darkness" and recently featuring the song "Blood On Your Hands on the "Bonesnappers" covermount of the April edition of Metal Hammer. ("BIG hooks BIG Riffs, Seven Deadly are set to only get BIGGER!"). With "The Allegiance EP" just released, world domination awaits.
 
Bassist Bobby Town (BobbySeven) says "We are absolutely stoked to have been asked to play the Takeover night at Download 2012, a festival and location that holds so many awesome memories for us all. Video - From This Darkness
 
Formed in Plymouth in late 2007, Huron’s debut album "Cheyne Stoking" was released in June 2009 and was warmly received by the music press. 2011 saw the follow up "Mary Celeste" and 5 years of constant gigging has led to a fantastic and explosive live show which will fill The Doghouse with their powerful blend of grungy hardcore metal. Their track "174" can be heard on the Metal Hammer covermount CD "Bonesnappers" and is taken from their forthcoming album titled "War Party" due for release mid 2012.

Hailing from Manchester, Allerjen’s blend of Progressive Death Metal proved a perfect fit when they opened the main stage at the first Damnation Festival in 2005 and subsequently released their first full length album "No Guts No Glory". In 2010 3 became 4 when guitarist Audie Harrison joined the band. With the plan to unleash their new chaotic, genre busting material on the masses, with influences drawn from Hardcore, Death Metal and even Classic Rock! A new album "Equilibrium" was released earlier this year and showcases the progression of their sound and the start of a new Aller-era!

Video - Until All Are One
 
Liverpools Lazarus Syndrome formed in 2011 and have already made waves with their brand of melodic death metal. Rather than trying to be “brutal” and heavy for the sake of it their more refined sound follows in the vein of the Swedish death metal scene and their EP "Flatline" underlines this with a firm grip that draws you in and refuses to let you go.

Vocalist Peter Ford told us "Walking the same ground as some of my idols is one thing, but to get the opportunity to play where they've played is possibly the most epic thing I'll ever do as a musician!". "I've been to download every year as a fan and to now be playing it as well is literally a dream come true!" adds guitarist Mike Hollows (Malius).

The bands will kick off at 6pm on Thursday 7th June in The Doghouse, located in the campsite Village.
