How To Remove Wristband (NO DAMAGE)

I like to keep all gig/festival tickets, bands, etc but sometimes the wristbands do irritate me a little and i found a way to get my Download 2012 band off without damaging it so it can be easily put back on :) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zxagq25hf4g

should we be showing how to do this incase they use the same design next year as people might take off their bands and pass them to others or sell them if they go home early

This was just purely for after the event for at work, etc. + there's not really anyway of totally stoping people from trading wristbands if people are totally set on removing there wristband and selling it or giving it to someone else there is always a way but i only tried to get my band off after i was home you'd have to be fairly stupid to risk breaking it while still there.

I was quite lucky with mine. One of the teeth inside the 'lock' is a little deformed which stops it from biting in. I snagged it on something earlier and one side just slipped back through. So now I have it off in one piece. Good thing it didn't happen over the weekend though or I may have lost it.

A friend managed to get both mine and my husbands spare wristbands off in one piece in about 5 seconds flat. (We had a std one and a family one given to us when we arrived) Not really the most tamperproof design wristbands they have had and the toggle was quite big and kept sticking into my arm while trying to sleep. Hopefully they will use a different design next year.

I removed all 7 of my various festival wristbands today, only had to cut one of them, the rest i pulled off whilst making my hand go purple in the process!

I managed to get mine of with a wooden coffee stirrer from the station, and poke it so the material would go out of the pins inside. I would've quite happily wore it for weeks after the festival, but the black nib would get stuck too easily! I don't know if they'll be using the 2010 design again?

II got mine off last year by twisting the lock as it was put on to tight to start with so I needed to make it fit better.

I just jabbed a butter knife into the clasp and pried it open. Wasn't hard. Then I broke the pin so it goes on and off without the need for a knife.

All the various designs with the little plastic stoppers are easy to remove. Heat sealed ones on the other hand are impossible to remove without cutting.

Not sure Scott but wouldn't they have said by now if it's gonna be happening this year?

Most wristbands are easy to remove, just slide them over your wrists. Saying that I once took nearly an hour trying to get one off and I thought my hand was going to drop off
