Really what did you expect? This is not a measure of all time greatness, just a measure of what's popular right now... TBF I'm gonna be 30 in a couple of years and I only know about 4 people who even care about Pearl Jam and even they don't really listen to them outside of nostalgia situations.. Meanwhile most people I know have at least one A7X song on shuffle in the car or something.
Never really heard pearl jam lol. When it comes on I turn off my radio/tv... Get bored [(:|]

wasn't talking about the poll... and the situation you're talking about is an all time popularity thing not the kind of immediate popularity i was talking about.. of course legends will outsell other bands... but that doesn't make them current

Er not it's not? I'm talking about popularity right now ie. Current popularity. The 'legends' I mentioned will outsell a band like A7X right now because they're currently more popular. Legendary bands like Deep Purple wont outsell a band like A7X now because they're currently not that popular.

Well, yeah. But this poll is a poll to see who would be worthy of headlining next years festival. I'm not on about fu cking iPod playlists. Avenged Sevenfold would be a seriously weak-ass headliner, not because they are a sh it band, or not because nobody likes them, but because they aren't worthy of headlining yet. Pearl Jam could headline any festival in the world, and I mean literally any. Global Gathering would love a bit of Pearl Jam. Just to clarify, and this is really important. I fu cking love Avenged Sevenfold, have done for years. They are one of my favourite modern bands, but that doesn't change the fact they are nowhere near headline status yet. They need a MEGA chart bothering album, and then a proper arena tour, and if that goes successfully well, then they can headline. They are not there yet and shouldn't even be on this list.
